Do you have experience or an interest in dementia? Are you passionate about good patient pathways?

Would you like to work in a position where you split time between an ambulatory clinic where your primary area will be our Memory Clinic with dementia assessments, and a ward with either neurological or geriatric patients? Then you may be our next colleague?

We are looking for a nurse who

  • Has Danish authorization.
  • Finds it exciting to alternate between the outpatient pathway and our ward-based pathway.
  • Has an interest in dementia and/or neurology/geriatrics.
  • Values working in multidisciplinary collaboration around the individual patient.
  • Is open and approachable in dialogue with patients, relatives, partners and colleagues.
  • Wants to contribute to a good working environment and well-being at the workplace.
  • Focuses on good patient pathways and smooth transitions across sectors.
  • Wants to work with both foundational and complex nursing care in the ward.
  • Can work independently and plan own tasks.

You will experience in the position

  • That your assessment as a nurse holds great weight in the multidisciplinary evaluation of the individual patient.
  • Close collaboration with colleagues and ample opportunity to develop your nursing competencies with a challenging somatic patient category.
  • Professionalism, coherence and quality for patients valued highly.
  • Visible and open leadership with a focus on the working environment and development.
  • Independent functions in the ambulatory clinic.
  • Thorough introduction in both the ambulatory clinic and the ward.
  • Two senior nurses who work closely together so that you can experience well-being in your shared role.

About the Memory Clinic

The Memory Clinic and the Ambulatory for Brain, Nerve and Elderly Diseases are part of a joint ambulatory unit within neurology and geriatrics and a dementia assessment unit, all under Medicine 3. In the ambulatory, patients with different neurological and geriatric problems are seen.

The Memory Clinic focuses on dementia assessment with extensive multidisciplinary collaboration.

As a nurse in the Memory Clinic, you will work closely with other related geriatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists and dementia consultants, but you will largely work with independent nursing consultations after training.

Tasks include cognitive tests, history taking, multidisciplinary coordination, follow-up and documentation, as well as telephone contacts.

About the position

The position is a role with presence both in the Memory Clinic and in one of the associated wards. The position can be combined with a ward in neurology or geriatrics.

Our introductory program will be tailored to your individual needs depending on your previous experience and will include both introduction to the ward and the ambulatory clinic.

Ward for Brain and Nerve Diseases with space for 20 patients. Primarily patients for start of Neurorehabilitation after stroke and head injuries.

Ward for Elderly Diseases - the elderly medical patient with complex care and treatment needs.

All wards have modern facilities with mostly single rooms.

All wards have a strong focus on individual competence plans.
