On behalf of Hovedgård Entreprenørforretning, Plant Supervision is seeking a skilled and independent bid estimator who wants to help ensure the company wins the right tasks at the right prices.

Hovedgård Entreprenørforretning is an established company with more than 25 employees, working with professional clients and partners in industrial, commercial and civil construction.

You will become an important part of a company with short decision paths, where your efforts have a direct impact on the projects that are carried out.

About the job

As a bid estimator you will play a central role in reviewing, calculating and preparing bids for contractor- and civil engineering projects.

You will work closely with management and project managers to ensure realistic and competitive bids.

Your tasks will include

• Reviewing tender material, drawings and descriptions
• Quantities extraction and calculation of contractor- and civil engineering works
• Obtaining and assessing prices from suppliers and subcontractors
• Preparation of bids and financial estimates
• Assessment of risks, opportunities and alternative solutions
• Dialogue with clients, consultants and partners
• Handover of won projects to the project managers
• Follow-up on bids and development of the estimating basis

Who are you?

We envision that you have experience from the contracting industry and a good understanding of how the work is carried out in practice.

You may be an experienced bid estimator, but you can also have a background as a project manager, contract manager or foreman and want to work more with calculation and bids.

We emphasize that you

• Have experience with bid calculation (using Sigma and AutoCAD) within contractor- and civil engineering works
• Have a good understanding of earthworks, concrete, sewers, paving and civil projects
• Can read and understand drawings, descriptions and tender material
• Have financial understanding and an eye for detail
• Work in a structured and independent manner
• Are good at collaborating and finding practical solutions
• Are eager to take responsibility and contribute to the company's development

The most important is not necessarily your education, but that you have the right understanding of contractor work, can work through a case, and want to take responsibility.
