Teacher for the VVS- and energy education at Herningsholm

Herningsholm Vocational School & Gymnasiums is seeking a vocational teacher for the VVS- and energy education, who is passionate about teaching and educating the next generation of skilled VVS technicians. It is of great importance to us that you have a genuine interest in teaching, and that you can relate to both young people and adults with tolerance and patience.

As one of our teachers is retiring after many years, we are looking for a new colleague for the department. You should thrive with working with young people, seeing them develop and putting the individual person at the center. The position offers good development opportunities, both personally and professionally. The job mainly involves teaching in the regular programs.

At Herningsholm we want to do something with the VVS- and energy education. The department is in constant development, and we always strive to match the demands of companies and students. We continuously work to improve the teaching and the education itself, and we therefore actively participate in developing the subject in collaboration with several stakeholders.

You will be dealing with

• teaching students in VVS-related subjects, e.g., fault finding, calibration of energy systems and quality assurance, as well as other subjects that fit your competences (with opportunities for sparring and onboarding in the department)
• development of your own teaching materials
• collaboration with other teachers in the team, the school’s other teams and departments, and other schools with VVS- and energy education
• dialogue with students and internship companies.

Our wishes for you are that you

• are good at communicating with people and can express yourself both in writing and verbally
• have a VVS professional education, possibly with an advanced degree such as VVS installer, machine operator, building constructor or similar
• have relevant VVS certificates, e.g., within district heating, refrigeration (category 2) or equivalent certificates within the VVS industry
• would preferably have five years of professional experience
• have IT skills at user level. We use digital teaching materials, among other things, so it is important that you are willing to learn to use IT in this context
• would like to challenge all students – regardless of level.

Start date, salary & terms of employment

Start date 1 January 2027.

The employment is full-time and governed by the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the negotiating organization.
