You do not need teaching experience

Perhaps you have never stood in front of a class. That should not hold you back. We provide a safe introduction to the teaching role and help you develop the pedagogical toolbox you need. You will not be left to yourself, but will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues, try things out and gradually find your own way of teaching. Your most important prerequisite is that you enjoy your subject and want to pass on your knowledge.

In daily work you work closely with other vocational teachers and staff to create teaching that makes sense for the students. You may, among other things, work with practical exercises, troubleshooting, safety, documentation and the connection between theory and reality. The tasks are tailored to your competences and the role we agree with you.

What you bring

We imagine that you have a relevant professional background and solid experience from the electrical or installation field. You may also have a background as a mechanical engineer or experience that makes you strong in electrical engineering and technical installations. We place emphasis on your overall profile – not on whether your career has followed one particular path.

U/NORD is an educational institution where different professional disciplines meet, and where collaboration around students' development is central. In the electrical area you become part of an environment with colleagues who both know the teaching world and understand the importance of strong professional standards. There is room to ask questions, share experiences and find solutions together. It is not a prerequisite that you can do everything from the beginning. We do not expect that either.

Employment terms and practical information

Salary is set based on your qualifications and experience.

Placement and remuneration will take place in accordance with the regulations for civil-service-like terms at vocational schools and school homes.
