About the job

Do you want to work with close patient relationships, specialized nursing and professional development?

In the Dialysis Department in Næstved we are looking for a nurse who wants to become part of our community and work in a specialty where professionalism, technology and human relations go hand in hand.

We are looking for you who are engaged in your nursing, want to develop your professional competencies and wish to make a difference for patients with chronic kidney disease.

The position is 37 hours per week with day shifts and every second Saturday.

A specialty where relationships matter

At the Dialysis Department in Næstved we treat patients with chronic kidney disease, all of whom come to us several times a week. We therefore get to know our patients well and follow them closely over a longer period.

It provides a special opportunity to build trust, notice changes and adapt nursing to the individual person. Although dialysis treatment is a fixed part of the patients’ everyday life, it is important that we never forget the person behind the treatment.

Dialysis is also a specialty with a large technical and nursing professional breadth. You will work with advanced equipment, clinical observations and complex patient pathways, where your professional assessment has great significance for the quality and safety of the treatment.

The Dialysis Department in Næstved is part of Medicine 1 at Holbæk Hospital. We have a close collaboration with the Dialysis Department in Slagelse and the other relevant departments around our patients.

You will have the opportunity to develop professionally

We prioritize that you get a good start and are well prepared for the tasks. Therefore you will receive a thorough and structured introduction with training outside normal working hours, so you have time and space to learn the treatment, equipment and our workflows.

You will be assigned mentors who accompany you during the training, and we hold ongoing conversations about how you are thriving and how your professional development is going.

We offer the opportunity to participate in a basic nephrology course and nephrology continuing education, so you can build on your competencies. You will also have the opportunity for professional sparring with your colleagues and to develop yourself within a specialty where there is both much to learn and good opportunities to deepen your expertise.

We must develop ourselves together

We want a department where we both have control of daily operations and continually find new ways to do things even better.

At our latest theme day, staff contributed many good ideas for developing the department. We will now continue working on them together. It provides an opportunity to bring your professional perspectives into play and help shape the everyday life we create for both patients and colleagues.

For us, development is not only about new projects. It is also about questioning our habits, sharing experiences and being curious about whether we can do something better for the patients.

We place emphasis on being able to speak openly with each other, ask for help and learn from what we experience in daily life. We must be able to trust each other, collaborate and contribute to a working environment where there is room for professionalism, differences and humor.

Who are you?

We imagine you are a nurse who is engaged in your profession and interested in both the technical part of dialysis treatment and the close contact with patients. You are curious, take responsibility and want to develop professionally.

You can work independently, but you also know that we succeed best when we collaborate and help each other. You contribute to a good working environment and meet patients and colleagues with respect, presence and an appreciative approach.

If you have experience with dialysis it is advantageous but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the right professional and personal prerequisites and a desire to become part of our community.

Practical about the position

The position is 37 hours per week with day shifts and work every second Saturday. The workplace is the Dialysis Department in Næstved, and the start date will be agreed upon.

Can you see yourself with us?

If you want to work with close patient relationships, specialized nursing and professional development, we would very much like to hear from you.

You are very welcome to contact us if you want to hear more about the position. You are also always welcome to drop by the Dialysis Department in Næstved, see our daily life and have a cup of coffee with us. Then you can get an impression of the department and meet some of those you may become colleagues with.

We hold interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we have found the right candidate. Therefore, please send your application already now if the position has raised your interest.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards
