At Vesterbo Nursing Home we are looking for new colleagues: one for a permanent day shift and one for a permanent evening shift.

Feel free to apply for the shift pattern that suits you best.

We are not looking for someone who can do everything from day one, or who never needs to ask for help. We are looking for someone who brings their professional expertise, is curious about people, and wants to be part of a community where we help each other and support each other in the tasks.

I could write a lot of fine words about professionalism, documentation, observations and health-related tasks. And don’t worry – we’ll get to it and certainly not skip it! But we also want to tell you a little about what lies around all the tasks.

Because at Vesterbo we work with people. People who have lived a full life, have their own stories, habits, wishes and quirks. We have respect for that, and we make an effort every day to ensure that their home also feels like a home.

And we work together! For our workdays become a little easier when we have colleagues you can ask for advice, discuss a situation with or share a good laugh with. We must be able to be professionally ambitious without thinking we have to know everything ourselves. We help each other, even when the day doesn’t go exactly to plan. Because it rarely does.

Katrine is the new professional leader at Vesterbo. She is educated as SSH, SSA and a nurse and is passionate about us continuing to develop – regardless of which professional background we come with. She believes that some of the greatest job satisfaction arises when we are allowed to learn new things, be challenged professionally and feel that we become better at what we do.

Therefore it is important for us that you are well prepared for the tasks, have the opportunity to develop yourself and experience that your professionalism is being used. At the same time, we must remember to take care of well-being and each other. Of course we must take our work seriously, but we may also enjoy ourselves while we are here.

As an SSA you will, among other things, work with health-related tasks, observations, medication management, documentation in Nexus and collaboration with residents, relatives and colleagues. You do not need to be able to do everything in advance – the most important thing is that you want to learn, take responsibility and contribute to the community.

We do not promise that every day will be easy, or that the coffee machine will always behave properly. On the other hand, we want to promise that we will do our best to create a workplace where we talk to each other, use each other’s professional skills and remember that we are all humans – even when we are at work.

Interviews: ongoing interviews

Employment: as soon as possible and no later than January 1, 2027

The positions are part-time. The day shift is 32 hours and the evening shift is 28 hours. Both include shifts on alternating weekends.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Expected salary range will be provided at the first interview. The final salary will be set based on your qualifications and previous work experience and after concrete negotiations with the professional association.

Straightforward criminal record check and references may be obtained before employment.
