About the job

In connection with us having received additional resources, we are upscaling as of January 1, 2027. We are therefore seeking social workers/social facilitators for the Children's Team in the Vejle Municipality’s Family Department. We need 4 more colleagues as well as a maternity cover, who will also contribute to the well-being and development of children and families in challenging life situations.

About the job

We are seeking 4 social workers/social facilitators with start no later than January 1, 2027. These are permanent positions of 37 hours. In addition, we are seeking a maternity cover with a start date of December 1, 2026.

In the Family Department of Vejle Municipality there are more than 80 advisers employed.

In the Children's Team, where the positions are located, we will be 39 advisers, 1 subject specialist, 4 professional consultants and 2 team leaders with you. We are thus many who together burn to contribute to the well-being and development of children and families. We are also split into two teams in daily life, but work together across teams to utilise each other’s competencies and to develop together.

The target group of the Children's Team is 0-15 years old, and we enter into collaboration with the children and their families when our Reception assesses that there may be a need for supportive interventions under the Child Act.

Your main tasks will be

  • Preparation of assessments and Child-appropriate inquiries
  • Decisions and grants
  • Initiation of interventions under the Child Act - primarily §32, §46 and §47
  • Handling of notifications and screenings
  • General case processing – including holding meetings and follow-ups
  • Preparation of the Child’s Plan
  • And of course involvement of the child!

We focus on a good and close collaboration with the child, the parents, the network, civil society and our partners. In the Family Department we use ICS as a method and the well-being scale as a progression tool. We work holistically and dialogically in case management, where the focus is increased involvement of both private and professional networks, and where the family, the child and the young person are co-players through inclusive conversations and network meetings. It is an advantage if you have experience with ICS and network involvement.

We expect from you

  • That you are a trained social worker or social facilitator
  • That you are passionate about the target group and see the importance of inclusion and use it as a guiding thread throughout case processing
  • That you want to be part of a team in professional development, who would like your input both professionally and socially
  • That you see the importance of, and are able to work closely with families and their private and professional networks
  • That you are professionally and verbally strong – and can work both independently and with others
  • That you regard professionalism, documentation, follow-up, structure and overview as a natural part of your work – and ensure case flow
  • That you have an appreciative and mentalizing approach – and at the same time thrive in the role as a statutory advisor
  • Experience with DUBU is an advantage but not a requirement
  • That you have a driving licence, as there are often meetings outside the house
