About the job

Do you thrive in creating an overview, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring coherence in complex youth trajectories? Do you have a holistic view and the ability to weave together the many threads around the young person so the efforts feel coordinated and meaningful? Are you passionate about collaborating with young people, families and professionals to find good solutions? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for. The position is 37 hours per week with start January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

As a youth coordinator you function as the young person’s guardian advisor with responsibility for your own cases, social work assessments and coordination of interventions across the areas the youth is in contact with. You help create coherence between the different actors around the youth and ensure that the interventions support the youth’s development and path to an independent adult life.

This is a maternity cover, and the appointment is temporary until July 30, 2027.

About the position

We are seeking a youth coordinator for the Team Social, Education and Employment, which consists of 15 dedicated employees.

As a youth coordinator, your main task will be to create an overview, coordinate the effort and ensure coherence in the individual youth's progression. This in close collaboration with the youth, the family, educational offerings, residential services, health sector, employment sector and other partners.

We work with youths aged 16-30, and the target group is broad. Some youths need support in the transition to adult life, education or employment, while others require interventions under the Child Act, Social Services Act, the Act on Active Employment, or other relevant legislation including STU. In addition, we also work with the IPS approach and Ungeløftet program.

You will receive a thorough and individually tailored introduction program, so you get the best possible start with us with a mentor attached.

"One citizen, one plan"

We work with the approach “One citizen – one plan,” where the coordinator creates coherence across disciplines, and ensures a unified overview for both citizen and partners.

We are looking for a colleague who approaches tasks with professional curiosity, personal commitment and a strong desire to create positive changes for citizens. You are able to build trusting relationships and collaborate naturally and constructively with citizens, relatives, support persons and residential services. You are strong at coordinating and collaborating across disciplines, administrations, sectors and external partners. At the same time you have a view of the whole, can drive forward in complex processes and thrive on taking responsibility to set direction and ensure results.

With a holistic approach you work so that citizens with complex social challenges experience a coherent and coordinated effort. You ensure that action plans are developed and followed up in close dialogue with the citizen and relevant partners, so the effort best supports the citizen's goals and development.

About the Team

The position is anchored in the Team for Social, Education and Employment, which consists of 15 dedicated employees. The whole team works with social, educational and employment-related interventions for youths and adults from age 16 and up. We are a professionally strong team with many cross-cutting interfaces and a high degree of interdisciplinary sparring.

As part of the team you will have colleagues with different professional specialities, including brain injury coordinators, social coordinators and disability coordinators, whom you can consult with even if you have different tasks. We believe that knowledge is the path to success.

We offer you

  • A meaningful everyday life where you make a real difference for citizens with complex needs
  • A professionally strong and engaged team where we work closely together and support each other’s development
  • A workplace with a fast pace, professional quality and focus on good solutions for citizens
  • High degree of independence and opportunity to influence both task solving and professional development
  • A trusting and well-functioning collaboration across disciplines and departments
  • Modern premises in bright and inviting rooms in a newer town hall
  • Regular supervision and ongoing professional sparring that support your development and well-being
  • A thorough and individually tailored introduction program so you get the best possible start with us

We seek you who

  • Are trained social worker, social facilitator or have another relevant professional background
  • Have solid experience with counseling and guardianship case handling
  • Thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration and have the courage to handle guardian duties under the Child Act, Social Services Act and the Act on an active employment effort
  • Have a holistic view and can create coherent, coordinated paths with focus on the right intervention at the right time
  • Prioritize respectful and constructive dialogue with citizens and relatives, even when the situation is complex or under pressure
  • Work structured, take responsibility and contribute positively to the community with engagement and good humor
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing
  • Are familiar with IT systems at user level. We work, among other things, in Fasit and Acadre
