About the job

We are looking for someone who has a particular interest in children with disabilities and their parents.

In our team you will have an important role in helping families navigate a daily life often characterized by many questions, considerations and complex issues.

You will not only help make decisions, you will help families make everyday life fit together better. You will come close to the families' reality and have the opportunity to translate your social work knowledge into solutions that can create more breathing space, coherence and opportunities for the child and the family.

You will work with some of the questions that can have a great impact on families' daily lives, including handling applications for lost earnings, compensation benefits and other support for the families and the children.

The Department for Children and Youth in Faxe Municipality is in good development and our area is highly prioritized by the politicians. Over the past year we have expanded with more colleagues, so there is more time and room for professional development, with a goal of ensuring compliance with the law and good collaboration with the children and their families.

You will become part of a team of up to 10 child and youth advisers, where we do not expect you to have all the answers yourself.

We rely on each other in everyday work, consult on difficult assessments and help each other when a case requires an extra look. We believe that professionalism and good collegiality go hand in hand. And that there should be room for professional discussions, a good laugh and a cup of coffee.

From 1 May 2026 we have implemented a new organization to ensure closer leadership in everyday life. This includes a weekly team meeting with approval authority. We place emphasis on the good working environment, which for us means psychological safety, integrity, clear communication and a good tone in everyday life.

In addition to work under the Child Act, we want to increase collaboration between the authorities and frontline practitioners and strengthen early prevention.

In the coming year we will continue the work on our development plan for the Family area, including programs with Task Force, connected directly to our daily work. We are in an exciting process, where in the Family area and directly with our close partners in the municipality, we want to work according to the LØFT approach.

If you want to be part of this exciting development process and would like to make a difference for children and young people with disabilities and their families in Faxe Municipality, then it's you we are looking for!

We offer

  • A department where the authority and the practitioner are gathered under a close DUO leadership, where we work closely together to solve the task.
  • Skilled, helpful and caring colleagues who value good humor and social interaction.
  • Good opportunities for professional sparring/consultation from colleagues, team leaders, lawyers and other management.
  • Focus on quality, systematic work and high professional standards in case processing.
  • A varied job where you largely design your own tasks.
  • Good opportunities to influence workflows and participate in development tasks.
  • External supervision.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.

About you

  • You are educated as a social facilitator (socialformidler) or social worker – or are in the final stage of the education.
  • You have a particular interest in authority work within child disability.
  • You value and seek professional development.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience in authority work and a good knowledge of the law.
  • You work systematically and can create and maintain an overview in complex tasks.
  • You are good at expressing yourself orally and in writing – you are especially good at communicating legislation and rights to the children and families you work with.
  • You are keen to reflect on your own practice and develop professionally together with your colleagues
  • You are familiar with DUBU, ICS and LØFT
  • You are proactive and responsible in your task-solving – seek help and sparring when it gets difficult.
  • You want to contribute to the good working environment in collaboration with colleagues, management and partners.
  • You have good relational skills and good collaboration abilities.
  • You have a valid driving license.
