Social Worker or Social Mediator for the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic 2022, Psychiatric Center North Zealand, Hillerød site

Would you like to apply your social work skills and experience with municipal authority work to support cross-sector cohesive pathways for adults with a mental illness?

We are seeking a social worker or social facilitator for our social worker team in Hillerød. In the position you will be responsible for handling the social welfare tasks in the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic 2022.

About us

Ambulatoriet offers time-limited well-defined treatment offerings for non-psychotic adult patients (18-70 years). We treat anxiety, depression, personality disorders and PTSD.

In the Ambulatory, you will be part of a well-functioning multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses and secretaries.

Your tasks

You will get an exciting position where you will mainly be responsible for counselling and guidance tasks within social – and related legal areas. Patient consultations are conducted in person, by telephone and on screen.

Your tasks will in particular be

• Guidance, especially within employment legislation
• Supportive conversations with patients who want help with social issues
• Family conversations with patients and their children (training will take place)
• Ensuring notification regarding children to the social authorities, cf. the Social Services Act.
• Review of medical/psychological status
• Interdisciplinary conference participation
• Knowledge sharing with multidisciplinary colleagues, including teaching in the outpatient clinic

You will receive an individually tailored introduction program and a mentor attached. In addition you will continuously have the opportunity to participate in development and theme days.

You will be attached to a well-run outpatient clinic with good collegiality and in addition a community with 17 social workers/social facilitators distributed across the center.

Who you are

You are a trained social worker or social facilitator and have experience from municipal setting or psychiatric department.

You can combine knowledge of a disease character, prognosis and social consequences with knowledge of social legislation and society's support options. A number of patients receive sickness benefits, which is why knowledge of this legislation is relevant.

You have professional interest in – and desire to develop good and stable collaboration with our partners, which typically are the municipalities. We collaborate with 29 municipalities. If you thrive with a high degree of structure in your work, it will be a good match for this position.

You are proactive and follow up with ongoing patient pathways. Also proactive in applying your professional skills.

You stand firmly in your social work and manage to create a high degree of patient involvement and relevant collaborators.

You are able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and can work in a structured and independent manner, while you are willing to guide and teach the multidisciplinary staff in social issues.

About Psychiatric Center North Zealand

Psychiatric Center North Zealand is spread over 4 campuses in Helsingør, Frederikssund and Hillerød. In Helsingør we have 3 open 24-hour wards as well as an outpatient unit.

In Hillerød we have both open and closed wards, acute reception and outpatient units. In Frederikssund we have an outpatient unit.

The immediate supervisor, responsible for professional and personnel management, is Senior Social Worker Mie Albrektsen. In daily work you will also collaborate with the ward leadership in the outpatient clinic, led by Ward Leadership Psychologist Malene Friis Thøgersen and Chief Physician Catherine Wohlert.

Employment conditions

The position is 37 hours per week and to be filled as soon as possible.

If you are a social worker, you are employed according to the collective agreement for social workers, including the provisions on working hours.

If you are a social facilitator, you are employed according to the collective agreement for administrative and IT staff, etc. You are under employment covered by the current working time rules entered into between the Regions' Payroll and Rate Board and HK Municipality.
