Area Manager for Daycare Area 2

We are seeking a area leader who will be at the forefront of and an active part of a strong community with eight engaged day-care house leaders. You must set a clear direction, create coherence and at the same time give room for professional sparring, different perspectives and local management space. For we succeed best when we make each other look good.

About the job

You will become the leader of eight day-care house leaders and will have the overarching professional, financial and administrative responsibility for Day Care Area 2. The day-care houses in the area vary in size, professional profile and local conditions. You must ensure a clear common direction and support the opportunities of the individual day-care houses.

You must translate strategic and political decisions into practice in a meaningful way and bring experiences and perspectives from the day-care houses back into the organization.

You will thus have the opportunity to influence the pedagogical development in Area 2 and at the same time contribute to the shared strategic leadership of the day care area in Viborg Municipality together with the other area leaders and the head of day care.

About you

We imagine that you have a relevant pedagogical background, solid experience from the day-care sector and with leadership, preferably with experience leading leaders.

We are looking for a professionally strong and relationally competent area leader who can challenge, support and create followership, even when tasks are complex and different considerations must be balanced.

Day Care Area 2 consists of eight different day-care houses, including a §83 offer. The area also has a resource team, which consists of seven resource pedagogues, for whom the area leader is responsible. We share the ambition to create high-quality day care.

Hiring process

We will hold the first interview round on Monday, November 9, 2026 and the second interview round on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Candidates who proceed to the second interview will have a personal profile prepared before the second interview.
