Director of Overlund Children's Center

The self-governing day institution Overlund Børnecenter is seeking a new leader.

Overlund Børnecenter is a self-governing integrated institution that has existed and thrived since 1972. We care for children aged 0-6 years, primarily from the Overlund school district, and today provide 63 kindergarten places, 22 infant/nursery places, as well as about 20 staff members – including you as leader and a deputy head.

Overlund Børnecenter is a nice place to be, and we are seeking you who will contribute to the well-being among both children and adults that we value so highly.

The pedagogical staff in daily work have a particular focus on caring for the children, the importance of play, the children's learning and their development. They work especially with co-practice, strong children's communities, an evaluative culture, Topi and VLS (Vi lærer sammen).

We focus on ensuring that all children are part of the children’s community, and we ensure through our pedagogical practice and organization that all children achieve the opportunity to come into privileged positions.

We work structurally with Marte Meo. A method that helps develop interaction and moments of meeting between people and that strengthens positive interactions and resources in the individual through recognition.

• You have a relevant leadership education, practical experience as a leader or are willing to undertake further education within leadership

• You are visible and competent in the everyday pedagogical life across the entire institution
• You are structured and can create an overview and meet deadlines while juggling many tasks
• You can work with financial management, IT and administration as a natural part of the job.

Leadership in a self-governing institution

As the leader at Overlund Børnecenter you report directly to the institution's board. You perform under the board's responsibility the daily pedagogical and administrative operations within the framework of Viborg Municipality's child policy, as well as the goals and frameworks for day-care work set by the municipality.

Salary and employment

The salary is set based on the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications. Interviews

1st interview will be held Tuesday 17 November.

2nd interview will be held Wednesday 25 November.

The interviews are expected to take place in the afternoon. Candidates advancing will have a personality profile prepared before the second interview and will need to allocate time for a discussion about the profile.
