About the job

In Ward O1 and in the outpatient function we take care with the nursing, observation, training and treatment that patients need. With the help of close interdisciplinary collaboration consisting of occupational and physiotherapists, social- and health care assistants, nurses, doctors and secretaries, all tasks for and around the patients and their relatives are coordinated. The aim is to create safe and secure patient pathways – and we do it with professional pride and a smile.

If you would like to be part of this, please send an application! We will welcome you warmly.

Who are we?

The ward functions, among other things, as HOFTECENTER , where all patients over 65 with hip-adjacent fractures are admitted around the clock. We handle both the pre- and postoperative pathways with all that implies. This also applies to the planned patient pathways, which we manage on all weekdays. The people we meet here come for planned operations, e.g. artificial knee, hip and shoulder. In addition, we also handle treatment of patients in very short courses, where patients are operated on and discharged the same day, and we also have a strong focus here on ensuring an efficient and safe patient pathway.

Interdisciplinary collaboration and development

We work in interdisciplinary teams around the patients; nurses, social- and health care assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. It is also possible in the long term to combine work with patients with roles in both the ward and outpatient clinic.

Safe and thorough onboarding

We know how important good onboarding is, so we prioritize it through close sparring with experienced colleagues who stand ready to guide you both professionally and personally, so you feel confident in the job. The clinical nursing specialist has the overall responsibility for your training, where work is based on a competence card. We place great emphasis on the fact that the work community is built on care, respect, challenge, development, humor, professional and personal sparring, skilled partners, competent colleagues and appreciative leadership.

We develop together

The health system is in constant development, and that means that we often change structures, workflows and treatment forms. Therefore we strive to maintain an open and curious culture, where we continuously discuss what works and how we can become even better. You will become part of an environment where all voices count – also when it comes to the difficult, as we believe that both job satisfaction and professional development flourish best when we build on each other's ideas and experiences.

At OUH, excellent nursing is performed based on three equal prerequisites: Care, professionalism and accountability. Read more here: Strategy for nursing

For us, the work environment is the prerequisite for you as a nurse to be able to practice excellent nursing, and thus succeed in giving the patient the best possible pathway.

Working hours

We take care of the patients around the clock, and as a starting point offer you a 37-hour position in the combination of day/night shifts or day/evening shifts and every 3rd weekend on average.

What do we expect from you?

That you are a nurse.

That you are caring.

That you are considerate.

That you are responsible.

That you participate in maintaining the good working environment we have.

That you want to help develop nursing for the benefit and advantage of the patients.

That you are curious and motivated to learn a lot.
