Bjergby-Mygdal Sognes Parish Council seeks a church singer

as of 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

We are a parish ministry that is characterized by a very good and positive collaborative climate between employees and the parish council, and where everyone is open to new thinking and development.

We are looking for a good and stable singer who can support communal singing and help strengthen the churchgoers in singing together. We expect that you are an open and welcoming person,

who with good situational awareness and independence can and will contribute to supporting the worship service in a professional and engaged manner.

We are a parish ministry with two churches. We have traditional high masses, music services, family services and other church activities. There are services every Sunday distributed across the two churches.

During services, it is the church singer's task to read the introductory and closing prayers that the priest and parish council have decided to use.

We are looking for a church singer who

· has a good liturgical sense and a broad professional competence within

for both the classical and rhythmic genre

· can lead song, the vocal part of the liturgy and congregational singing, during services,

church ceremonies and other church activities both inside and outside the church

· possibly can sing solo at high masses and church ceremonies

· possibly can participate in baby song singing

· possibly can contribute musically to children and youth work and the church's other activities

We expect that you

· have relevant education and basic knowledge within church music and church-related matters

· are outgoing and have good cooperation skills

· have an interest in the work of the Folk Church and will actively participate in parish life

· will join a flexible work community with our priest, organist,

other staff, parish council and volunteers

Hiring a church singer is covered by the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10 - Central Organization of 2010 and the organizational agreement between the Ministry of Church Affairs and CO10 for church functionaries with core tasks such as clerk, church and culture worker or church musician and the corresponding protocol for church musicians.

Annual salary for a church musician is set within the interval 333,747.51 DKK – 475,590.07 DKK (current Danish kroner).

Allowance for living costs amounts to annually 27,641.26 DKK (current Danish kroner).

OK allowance of 1,082.22 DKK (current Danish kroner).

Agreement on placement in the salary range is concluded between the parish council and the Danish Church Musicians Association before hiring.

Salary, OK allowance and living allowance are prorated in accordance with the employment fraction of the position.

There is a duty to serve at other employing authorities in the diocese in accordance with the agreements the parish councils have entered into/are party to with other employing authorities.
