Caregiver / disability helper sought for a man in Fredensborg

In Fredensborg lives a humorous and socially-minded man who, due to a brain injury, has reduced vision and hearing. He is seeking your support, which primarily will be 1:1 and for activities outside the home.

Your task

Your task is to accompany the man to a range of different activities, such as training, pleasant coffee appointments or other activities that you determine together. It is therefore important that you are proactive and help find activities based on the citizen's wishes and interests.

Flex traffic is booked for the trips. He can move by himself, so there is no lifting. If you are up for a cycling trip in the area, he would also greatly appreciate this, as he has his own bike but not enough vision to navigate the area himself.

It is important that you are patient, as the man has latency and it takes time for him to answer you. Your primary role is to maintain communication with the client, so you are his voice outward and thereby function as his interpreter during interactions with others. In this way, he gets the opportunity to be fully involved and contribute to the dialogue himself.

Working hours

The citizen has 6 hours per week and about 200 bundled hours per year. There is another employee who often covers shifts on weekends. So it is primarily during weekdays that the hours will lie once or twice per week.

The working hours are normally from 11:00-14:00 or from 13:00-16:00, but can be agreed with the citizen.

About you

Patience as well as clear and explicit communication are crucial, so you can communicate together as best as possible. If you can sign to speech, this is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the citizen's own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Danish Industry.
