Who are we?

We do not believe that "this is the way we’ve always done it" is a professional argument.

We work according to the intentions of the Children's Act, where the child’s well-being, development and rights are central. We are also a department that never regards itself as fully developed. The world around children, young people and families changes, and therefore we must continuously develop as well. We do this because children, young people and families deserve the best possible support, and because we know that yesterday’s solutions do not necessarily solve tomorrow’s challenges.

Therefore we work purposefully to strengthen our professionalism, quality and methods. We are curious about our own practice, challenge habitual thinking and dare to adjust our working methods when we see that something can be done better. With us development is not a project beside the core task. It is part of the core task.

Placement of the positions

We are looking for new colleagues for two different specialties in the Child and Family Counseling. What is common for both positions is that you must be able to create trusting relationships in complex life situations, communicate clearly with both children, young people, parents and partners, and thrive in an environment where professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.

Although we work under the same legislation and the same core values, the target groups call for different professional strengths and approaches. Below you can read more about the two specialties.

Although the target groups are different, the ambition is the same: to create the best possible solutions together with children, young people and families through strong relationships, high professionalism and a sustained desire to develop our practice.

Child Disability Team

Some families see their view of the future change in an instant. Others live year after year with a child whose needs require extraordinary support, long-term solutions, coordination and perseverance from the surroundings.

In the team we work with children and young people with significant functional impairments and their families. It’s about creating coherence, opportunities and quality of life in the daily life of families.

We therefore seek an advisor who can combine social-work sharpness with empathy, an overview and the ability to build secure relationships in collaboration with families, who often find themselves in complex life situations.

You will among other things work with

• Interventions under the Children's Act in the disability area, including disability-supporting measures and interventions.
• Close collaboration in the child’s and family’s everyday life, where you translate legislation into practical, meaningful solutions.
• Interdisciplinary coordination with, among others, schools, day care, health services and PPR.
• Involvement of the child’s perspective and voice, also when communication and participation require special methods.

Youth Team (13-23 years)

Youth life has perhaps never been more complex than today. Social media, performance culture, mental distress, loneliness and new communities constantly create new conditions for young people.

In the team you meet young people in some of life’s most important transitions. It’s about identity, communities, education, relationships, mental well-being and belief that the future can succeed.

We therefore do not only work with the challenges the young people face right now. We also work with their path into adulthood. Together with the young person and their network we create direction, opportunities and hope in situations where the way forward is not always obvious.

We are looking for an advisor who is curious about young people’s perspectives, has an eye for new trends and is motivated to help young people find their footing, direction and belief in their own possibilities.

You will among other things work with

• Authority work under the Children's Act focusing on the youth area.
• Conversations with young people about well-being, identity, relationships, education and future dreams.
• Preventive and supportive interventions and follow-up on more intrusive measures.
• Collaboration across upper secondary education, KUI, the employment area, the adult area and other partners.
• To translate the young person’s wishes and perspectives into concrete goals and actions .

Salary and employment terms

Salary is set according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation. The exact salary range will be disclosed prior to any employment interview.
