Dedicated youth advisor for UU Sorø

Do you want to make a difference for young people – and develop the future youth effort together with us?

We are looking for an engaged youth advisor for UU Sorø, who wants to make a difference for young people and actively contribute to the development of our municipal youth effort.

You will become part of the Ungeteam Sorø, where UU counselors, employment officers, IPS consultants and SSP consultants work closely together to create good and coherent pathways for young people.

UU Sorø handles educational and career guidance for children and young people in Sorø Municipality and is organizationally anchored in JobSorø. At the same time, UU is part of the Municipal Youth Effort (KUI), where we collaborate across professions and organizations to ensure that young people receive the right support to progress in education and in jobs.

Your tasks

Your daily work will be in Ungeteam Sorø, where you become part of a professionally engaged team focused on collaboration, development and shared responsibility for the young people.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Provide educational and vocational guidance for young people between 15 and 24 years old.
• Guide and support young people who are in FGU processes, focusing on their opportunities and next steps towards education or work.
• Work purposefully with young people who have special guidance needs and who may benefit from a more hands-on and holistic approach.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in Ungeteam Sorø as well as schools, educational institutions, FGU, the business community and other relevant actors.
• Contribute to developing new methods and workflows that strengthen collaboration and create coherence in the young people’s trajectories.
• Take co-responsibility for the development of the municipal youth effort and for us to find good solutions for the young people we work with.

We are a team of eight employees in UU Sorø, which is part of Ungeteam Sorø. We have different professional backgrounds, but a common ambition to create the best possible opportunities for young people in Sorø Municipality.

We believe that the best solutions arise when we bring our professionalities into play and take shared responsibility for the task. Therefore we highly prioritize cross-disciplinary collaboration and continuously work to develop our methods and strengthen collaboration with both internal and external partners.

We have a strong focus on young people with special guidance needs and are committed to creating coherence between education, employment and other efforts surrounding the young person.

Who are you?

We are looking for you, who are passionate about helping young people move forward in life, and who can work independently with the guiding task and actively participate in a committed team collaboration.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with educational and vocational guidance, preferably with young people between 15 and 24 years old.
• Have broad knowledge of the education sector and the young people’s opportunities for education and work.
• Have a diploma or are in the process of obtaining a diploma in education, profession and career guidance or are starting the program.
• Are engaged, relationship-building and motivated to help young people find their path.
• Can work holistically and see the value in collaborating with other professional groups on joint solutions.
• Are keen to contribute actively to the development of Ungeteam Sorø and the municipal youth effort.
• Can maintain an overview, prioritize tasks and navigate a daily life with different needs and collaboration interfaces.
• Can read relevant legislation and translate it into practice in guidance work.
• Have good IT skills and preferably experience with the guidance system UNO Ung.
• Are willing to use your own car in connection with guidance tasks according to current driving authorization.
