Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a committed and development-oriented digitalisation consultant for IT & Digitalisation.

We are facing an exciting development where digitalisation should support better service and more efficient workflows. Therefore, we are looking for an employee who wants to help build and develop our digitalisation area.

The position is versatile, and the tasks will evolve in line with the needs of the department and the organisation. You will become part of a department where we continue to build structures, create overview, and strengthen digital maturity across the municipality.

The position is particularly relevant for a newly educated data scientist or a candidate with a similar IT background who wants to develop within digitalisation, project work, and information security.

About the position

As a digitalisation consultant you will work at the intersection of technology, business, and development. You will have the opportunity to participate in both strategic and practical tasks, where you help identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support the continued digital development in the municipality.

In the first period there will among other things be a focus on creating an overview, documenting existing solutions, optimising workflows, and contributing to establishing a strong foundation for future digitalisation initiatives.

Your responsibilities may include

·Participation in the municipality's digitalisation projects

·Development and implementation of digital solutions

·Analysis and optimisation of workflows and processes

·Mapping and documentation of systems and digital work processes

·Contributing to tidying up and structuring the municipality's digital landscape

·Participation in cross-governmental digitalisation projects and collaborations

·Collaboration with professional areas to identify and realise digital opportunities

·Testing, implementing and documenting new solutions

·Contributing to the work with information security and data protection

·Work with access and rights management

·Contribute to the assessment of systems and solutions focusing on compliance, security and good digital governance

·Other IT, digitalisation and development tasks in line with the department's needs

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have knowledge of development, automation, information security, or IT operations.

Criminal record certificate

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record certificate. Under the law, employment may only begin once the municipality has received the criminal record certificate. We should therefore note that the start date can only be agreed once the municipality has received the criminal record certificate from the police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are governed by the applicable collective agreement between the Greenland Self-Government, in accordance with the agreement/collective bargaining agreement applicable at the time of start of employment, between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organisations.

The appointment will be made with a 3-month probationary period.

Housing

A staff housing may be assigned to the position, for which there is a deposit and rent, utilities, etc., in accordance with the currently applicable rules for rent payments in Greenland Self-Government and municipal properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing is not available immediately at start, temporary vacation housing will be offered to employees with the right to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid as above. The start date depends on when staff housing becomes available. A relocation and household effects move will be provided in accordance with current rules.
