Do you have the calm, presence and professionalism to make a difference in one citizen's daily life? We are seeking an educator, occupational therapist, SSA or pedagogical assistant for a 37-hour position.

In the Social Execution Area we create every day safe and meaningful everyday lives for citizens with severe autism and/or psychiatric challenges. We emphasize that we help citizens have as rich a daily life as they can and as they wish – supplemented by our professional perspectives and calm approach.

Our work takes place in the citizen's home, where we rent a room from the citizen, which is our base for the intervention. Our work is thus arranged as a residential facility in the citizen's own home – and we are therefore with the citizen for most hours of the day; where we work in long shifts (12-24 hours at a time).

The citizen has a strong network and loves creative pursuits. Two days a week the citizen participates in an activity and companionship offer under the Social Services Act § 104. Here an employee accompanies and provides one-to-one support. We work closely with the § 104 offer, the family and the authorities, so there is coherence in the effort – and of course we expect you to contribute positively to that.

You will become part of a small team of staff who share the work in the citizen's home. Your task is to support the citizen in everyday life based on the citizen's needs, wishes and possibilities. This can include creating overview and structure, supporting participation in activities and helping the citizen through situations that feel difficult.

The citizen may meet new activities or changes with resistance. Therefore it is important that you can stay calm, be patient and adapt your approach. You must be able to motivate without pressuring and have an eye for when the citizen needs time and space to take the next step themselves.

When you work in the citizen's home, you are a guest in a private life. We therefore stress that you meet the citizen with humility, flexibility and respect for both the home and the citizen's self-determination.

• are educated as a pedagogue, occupational therapist, SSA or pedagogical assistant
• prefer to have experience with autism and/or psychiatry
• wish to work 1:1 with the citizen in their own home
• simply cannot help but give the necessary care and presence
• naturally take responsibility for tasks and the community
• are sharp at involving others' perspectives
• love contributing to making your colleagues even better
• are passionate about professionalism and utterly excited to contribute to our ongoing development

You will become part of a professional community

With us you become part of a small team that together shares the tasks in the citizen's home – even though you work 1:1 in shifts. But you also become part of Department 3, where you will collaborate with colleagues in other citizen teams.

So even though you often work alone with the citizen, you are never alone with the task. We prioritize professional sparring, attentive leadership and supervision. Every other week we hold a staff meeting, where you meet with your colleagues. Here we follow up on the effort and agree on a common direction, which we all follow – just as we work on professional development.

About the Social Execution Area

The Social Execution Area in Ishøj Municipality consists of three departments, which provide specialized interventions within vulnerability, disability and psychiatry. We are around 60 employees and emphasize close cooperation, flexibility and professional sparring across departments and professional fields.
