About the job

Together for the good childhood – would you like to help strengthen children7s communities and develop pedagogical practice?

In Høje-Taastrup Municipality we have high ambitions for all children7s well-being, development and participation in communities. As a growing municipality, we work to strengthen the general pedagogical learning environments and bring professional knowledge close to practice.

You will become part of the Pedagogical Development Team, which is a central part of this work. With the NEST principles, the child perspective and strong children7s communities as a common foundation, we develop the quality together with the day care centers. Now we are seeking new colleagues for the team who want to make a difference and bring their professionalism into play in this collaboration.

As our new colleague, you support development and stabilisation initiatives in various day care facilities. Together with leaders and staff you explore possibilities and develop pilots that make the day care centers stronger in their task — even after the intervention has ended. We are based at the town hall, but primarily work out in the day care centers.

You will become part of a strong professional community

The Pedagogical Development Team consists of intervention-pedagogues, pedagogical process consultants, pedagogical consultants, pedagogical mentors and a special education consultant. Together we support the professional development in the day care centers close to practice.

You will become part of our intervention-pedagogue team, where professional sparring, knowledge sharing and joint reflection are a natural part of everyday life. Although you often work independently out in the day care centers, you are not alone in the task. You have colleagues to lean on, and together we take responsibility for both professional quality and a good working community.

With a regenerative starting point we emphasize trust, shared responsibility and professional judgment and consciously work to create a working community where both people and professionalism can develop.

About the task

The initiatives vary in starting point, duration and intensity. You must therefore approach the concrete practice professionally, curiously, flexibly and respectfully. You do not come with ready-made solutions, but contribute with observations, reflections and knowledge about children, adults, relationships, organization and learning environments. Together we see both what works and what calls for development, so that new courses of action become lasting changes in everyday life.

Our tasks include, among other things

  • Development and stabilisation initiatives, including where the administration has tightened supervisory obligations.
  • Support for the establishment of new day care centers.
  • Guidance and support for pedagogical staff in their professional practice
  • Implementation of Strong Child Communities together with PPR and the day care centers.
  • As an intervention-pedagogue you also contribute to pedagogical supervision through KIDS observations, which you will be certified to perform.

With us you get

A varied everyday life with professional autonomy and the opportunity to shape the intervention-pedagogue function in a growing team. You will have colleagues with different competencies, sparring and external supervision, as well as the opportunity to plan your own hours based on the tasks and the common framework.

We take the task seriously and also emphasize that it7s nice and fun to go to work. For us, professional quality and a good working environment are closely linked.

Who are you?

We are seeking a trained pedagogue, preferably with broad experience from day care and relevant further education. You have a solid pedagogical foundation, you are strong in your professional field and you also meet others7 perspectives with curiosity, openness and a desire for joint reflection.

We emphasize that you

  • Can justify your professional choices and put the child perspective, opportunities for participation and communities at the forefront.
  • Are relationally competent and meet children and adults with a mentalizing approach.
  • Recognize strengths and potentials and can articulate precise needs for further development.
  • Can navigate different day care settings without a fixed template and work flexibly, independently and in a committed way together with colleagues.
  • Experience with NEST, development work, guidance, special education or inclusive learning environments is an advantage, not a requirement. Professional curiosity and a desire for joint development are essential.

Lean into our community with confidence

It requires professionalism and courage to step into others7 practice. Therefore we take care to provide a thorough introduction to our foundation, methods, tools and interventions.

You will have time to find your footing and colleagues who share knowledge and help you settle well into the task and the working community. We do not expect you to know everything from the start, but that you meet us and the tasks with curiosity, commitment, and professionalism – while also thriving on working independently and taking responsibility for your task solution.

Curious about the position? Come and meet us! Open house with registration on Tuesday, November 10 from 16:00 to 18:00 at Høje-Taastrup Town Hall, Rådhus Allé 1, 2630 Taastrup.

Meet upcoming colleagues, hear stories from practice, discuss professional questions and gain insight into our work. You are welcome whether you are ready to apply or just curious.

If you want to hear more or wish to attend the open house , you are welcome to contact intervention-pedagogue Louise Hjorth at 24265877, intervention-pedagogue Kristina Linnet Lorentzen at 51708245 or team leader for intervention-pedagogues Mette Tejlmann at 23740963.

Practical information

The available positions are two permanent positions and one maternity leave cover. The positions are 37 hours per week. Employment from January 1, 2027 with the possibility of an earlier start.

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. We obtain child and criminal record certificates as well as references from previous employment in connection with the appointment.

The application deadline is Sunday, November 15, 2026

We will hold interviews on Monday, November 23, 2026.

Applications, CV, educational certificates and other relevant documents should be sent via the municipality7s recruitment system.

We look forward to meeting you! 😊
