About the job

As we expand the Heart Failure Clinic – commonly referred to as HIK – we are looking for a new colleague.

HIK consists of 7 nurses aged 30-65 with extensive experience in the cardiology specialty. In addition, fixed specialists as well as training doctors. We have a very good collegial cohesion and a good culture, where there is a focus on professional development and sparring - both mono- and interdisciplinary.

We are looking for you who

  • Thrive with chronic and often multimorbid patients.
  • Thrive with long-term contact with both patients and relatives.
  • Place a high value on a good working environment and contribute positively to it.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience and further training.
  • Wish to develop your competencies within treatment and nursing care for heart failure patients.
  • Have strong skills in communication and pedagogy, as patient education and guidance in disease management are an important part of our work.
  • Are interested in working independently with adjustments to heart failure medications.

We can offer

  • Thorough on-the-job training in heart failure and its medical treatment.
  • Continuity of nursing care, as we prioritise that our patients are followed by the same nurse throughout their course. This creates quality and reassurance for both patient, relatives and the nurse.
  • Regular home working where you have virtual consultations via video or phone.
  • A good working environment where well-being, trust, equality, respect and flexibility are values we cherish in our collaboration with colleagues.
  • An excellent collegial community where there is also room for a good laugh.
  • Working hours on weekdays between 8:00-16:00 and a weekend shift on one of our ward units every eighth weekend in day or evening shifts.
  • Influence on your own rota to create a good balance between work and private life.
  • Professional development through, among other things, teaching, courses, theme days and a research weekend.
  • Possibility in the long term to expand your competencies by combining work in HIK with assignments in other cardiology outpatient teams.
  • Common morning teaching every week.

We are covered by the cross-regional initiative “Future Ambulatorium”, which in practice means that more patients will have the opportunity for digital consultations via video or telephone. This also means that you will have fixed home-working days (up to a maximum of 2 days per week) and will be assigned a home-working PC.

In January 2028, the plan is for Cardiology to move to the new super hospital in Køge.

If the above sounds like something for you, we look forward to hearing from you.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis until the right candidate is found.

You are of course welcome to contact me at telephone number: 47326110 to hear more about the position.

Best regards

Jacob Clausen
