Are you a trained pedagogue and family therapist? And do you have the experience and desire to run treatment programs for families with children who have cognitive impairments? Perhaps you are our new colleague at Leute to join our team of family therapists?

We are currently experiencing high demand from municipalities that need family treatment.

Your profile

You are a self-driven and robust family therapist with professionalism grounded in equal parts practical experience and theoretical understanding within special pedagogy, cognitive behavioral therapy and milieu therapy. Your toolbox is filled with pedagogical methods and tools that you use to strengthen both the parents' competencies and the parent-child relationship.

You help the parents recognize their resources. You can supplement with both collaborative and individual exercises as needed in the programs, and you are comfortable in the role of an impartial mediator.

You work holistically, and it is therefore natural for you to be the link to the child’s other contact surfaces such as the school when needed. You work from a solution-focused approach, where you manage to create safe and calm environments around you. Good written skills when documenting your observations are important, and you understand the family’s specific challenges as well as the action plan goals with which you are familiar.

We generally have standard programs, which of course are also tailored individually according to the needs of each family.

About you

· Are trained as a pedagogue and certified family therapist and preferably with a cognitive psychotherapeutic background

· Have experience with autism and ADHD diagnoses and preferably other cognitive and psychological functional impairments

· Are independent, calm and robust

· Create structure for the family

· Are empathetic and spacious

· Work according to the action plan goals

· Create active involvement of the parents in training in boundary setting and structure toward the child

· Regulate behavior in interaction with the child’s and parents’ social environment

· Collaborate interdisciplinary with e.g. schools and institutions as needed

· Are flexible regarding when family treatment takes place

· Prepare precise written journal notes with a focus on the observational part
