Legal Generalist for Odense Light Rail

At Odense Letbane we are looking for a legal generalist who thrives with a broad portfolio of tasks and can translate law into practical solutions. You will have a central role in our staff, where you become a legal sparring partner for management and colleagues across the organization.

Odense Letbane is a smaller organization with short decision paths and extensive contact across the organization. We operate an important part of public transport in Odense, while also working on the future development of the light rail. Therefore we seek a colleague who can navigate safely in both legal details and business considerations.

About the job

You will become part of the Staff and will have a broad legal role with great variation in tasks, and direct reporting to the CFO.

Your tasks will include among other things

• Handling of access-to-information requests and advice on the public disclosure laws
• GDPR, data protection and compliance-related tasks
• Legal advice within corporate law matters
• Handling of complaints and legal inquiries
• General legal sparring for management and areas of expertise
• Preparation and maintenance of policies, procedures and internal guidelines
• Collaboration with external lawyers in connection with litigation and specialized advice
• Legal support for projects and development initiatives across the organization

The position offers opportunities for independent responsibility and significant influence on how legal issues are handled and translated into solutions that create value for the organization.

About you

We envision that you have a legal education as cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur. and a minimum of five years of experience from a similar role, where you have worked across several different legal disciplines.

In addition, we emphasize that you

• Have solid experience with administrative law issues
• Have an interest in or experience with corporate/commercial law areas
• Can translate complex law into clear and usable recommendations
• Work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
• Have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships
• Communicate confidently and clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Thrive in a smaller organization where people help each other and lift collectively

You are curious about the business behind the law and able to balance legal considerations with the organization's needs.

You enjoy working closely with colleagues with different professional backgrounds and can create understanding for legal issues without making them unnecessarily complicated. At the same time you have the expertise to go into depth when the situation requires it.
