About the job

Do you have hospital experience, strong clinical competencies and a desire to drive professional development? Then we may have the position for you.

We are seeking an engaged nurse for a role as clinical nurse specialist in the Organ Surgical Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy. You do not need to have experience as a clinical nurse specialist – the most important is solid clinical experience, professional curiosity and a desire to develop both nursing and yourself, and to be a central role in professional development.

You will become an important part of the work to strengthen the quality of nursing, develop clinical practice and translate new knowledge and evidence into concrete improvements in everyday life. In addition to being the clinical expert in nursing in the outpatient clinic and endoscopy, you will share responsibility for implementing the department's strategy for developing excellent nursing, as well as cross-department development tasks across our three units (the ward, the operating room and the outpatient clinic/endoscopy).

Your tasks will include

  • Identify and prioritise areas for professional development
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives and workflows
  • Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues
  • Contribute to quality, patient safety and evidence-based nursing
  • Create structure and momentum in the department's development work
  • Collaborate with management and colleagues to develop nursing

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced nurse who

  • Has a qualification at a minimum bachelor level, though it would be an advantage if you have another qualifying education.
  • Has an interest in professional development, quality and implementation
  • Can create overview, structure and momentum
  • Has good communicative and relational skills
  • Can engage colleagues and constructively challenge existing practices
  • Works independently and at the same time thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Willing to take responsibility, share your expertise and help steer the development of nursing.

What do we offer?

You will have an exciting opportunity to influence professional development in an engaged environment where clinical experience, new ideas and professional reflection are valued.

You will be employed in the Organ Surgical Outpatient Clinic and Endoscopy, where working hours will be on weekdays during daytime. We provide various outpatient services for patients with, among others, wound, stoma, reflux, hernia and biliary problems. Furthermore we have 3 endoscopy suites that perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies in organ surgical and medical settings. The department provides a framework for a good working environment with humor and high well-being.

You will become part of a staff group of about 20 nurses in the outpatient clinic and endoscopy. In addition you will have a clinical nurse specialist from our inpatient ward and a post.doc nurse as close colleagues and collaborators, with good opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, knowledge sharing and joint professional development. You will also have close collaboration with the department's three chief nurses, the department management, key personnel and the quality coordinator.

You will become part of the department's quality team and of the Sygehus Lillebælt Board for excellent nursing. In addition you will have the opportunity to spend time in the department's multidisciplinary research unit with participation in data collection and dissemination of current research projects in the department.
