Maternity leave vacancy for an Employment Advisor for young people aged 18-25 sought for the Youth Guidance in Odder Municipality

We are seeking an employment advisor who dreams of working with young people aged 15-25 under the Act on Active Employment Efforts - an authority advisor who has energy and initiative when it comes to finding the right solutions for the young. We are indeed ambitious when it comes to good and lasting solutions for our young people in Odder Municipality.

If I get the position with you, what will I be doing?

You should ideally find the following work points recognizable and interesting if you wish to apply for the position

• To work in an engaging and goal-oriented way with a broad group of youths. The target group ranges from those clearly ready for education to those ready for activities, as well as self-supporting youths and young people from 15 up to 25 years old.
• Via the IPS method ensure that vulnerable youths receive the hands-on help on the path to work or education, with particular focus on the business-oriented work and collaboration with psychiatry.
• To take responsibility for good collaboration with young people, networks, families, civil society and other relevant partners.
• In collaboration with other colleagues in the team, handle the intake in cooperation with our Education Counselor.
• To initiate and follow up on initiatives under chapters 11-14 of the Employment Efforts Act.
• To work in a business-oriented manner with a clear focus on competencies that can be used in the labor market.
• To assess whether the young person is in the target group for other support than cash benefits.

Professional requirements and competences

We need colleagues who can say “yes” both professionally and personally to either all or the majority of the following points:

• You must have a relevant education as a social worker/social facilitator.
• You may have experience navigating the LAB Act (Labour Market Act).
• You should, like us, find it exciting to find solutions to the challenges the youths face, and you are energized when someone in the department, team, or yourself has made a difference.
• You may have relevant work experience with the Employment Efforts Act and you master and find it interesting to sit at the table and collaborate across professions.
• You think it’s fun and exciting to collaborate with young people, internal and external partners, networks and voluntary associations – because we focus on ensuring our youths form lasting relationships
• You have an eye for your colleagues – because we value both a high professional level and that we enjoy going to work

At the same time you must be able to convey knowledge so that the young people you advise understand you. The communication is both oral and written, so it is also important that you enjoy handling the administrative core tasks.

We believe you are the kind of adviser that young people always want to return to: both because you show respect for the youth, because you are highly skilled professionally, and not least because you are easy and good to work with.

Finally you may have an eye for how we can continuously improve and sharpen our solutions. You should enjoy thinking about development and have a sense of how we can continue to deliver the right solutions to our youths – and help them create direction in life.

Who we are – Ungerådgivningen in Odder Municipality

We are 15 staff and a Team Leader. We work with youths aged 15 – 25 years.

You will have colleagues who also work with the youths: Education Counselors, Industry Playmakers and advisers working with the Child Act. You will therefore come into contact with many different professional areas and colleagues who can enrich the work around the youths – colleagues who all find it meaningful to support the youths in their path to education and employment.

In addition to your monofield team, you will also be part of an interdisciplinary department where we work closely together regarding our youths. We have many exciting tasks, and we do everything we can to make sure it is both fun and exciting to go to work.

Practical details – salary and terms of employment

This is a maternity cover for 37 hours/week. The position is to be filled on February 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the agreement between the KL and the relevant professional organization. The salary is negotiated between the bargaining organization and Odder Municipality based on a wage level of approx. DKK 404,000 per year excl. pension as the basis for negotiation.
