Intensiv Øst 3 offers exciting challenges in a safe learning environment with high professionalism surrounded by good and experienced colleagues. We are seeking a nurse for permanent employment with start date January 1, 2027 or as agreed. It is expected that you will eventually complete the 2-year specialist education in intensive care nursing.

Intensiv Øst 3 has room for seven adult patients. The specialties are mainly cardiac, pulmonary and vascular surgery, heart diseases and infectious diseases.

We are a diverse group of about 55 nurses, covering all age groups and competencies. There are many social communities across the colleague group both at work and in leisure time. Our experience in training and integrating new colleagues both professionally and socially is good. We work with companionship and back-up, and we have a strong focus on professionalism and a good working environment, where there is room for humor and serious conversation.

Because of the patients’ complexity, we have specialists present in the department around the clock, and it is always possible to get collegial support and sparring in the multidisciplinary team.

We offer you

• a well-structured theoretical and practical training program with a mentoring scheme, focused follow-up days and theoretical teaching days. The onboarding process is supported by the Emento app
• teaching and training, based on your prerequisites. You should expect to be outside the normal staffing for the first 6-10 weeks, where you are accompanied by a mentor or onboarding responsible nurse. In the first year there will be status discussions focusing on professionalism, well-being, and personal development, as well as follow-up days with our onboarding responsible nurse
• we place a high priority on professional teaching, even on a busy day. We have, among other things, planned teaching every Wednesday morning, every second Thursday afternoon and daily nursing conferences where professional topics are discussed
• a group of nurses that actively works on nursing professional development and uses Fundamentals of Care as a reference framework. Furthermore, there is nursing research work, as Intensive has a nursing professor and research nurses employed
• a department in constant development, where you will be an ambitious team player within the future of intensive nursing, interdisciplinary collaboration and research, as well as development of the department
• specialist education in intensive care nursing – a two-year theoretical and practical specialist education. We train about four intensive care nurses per year.
• in time the possibility of certification in ECMO treatment, of which we have a regional function
• collegial support and supervision in difficult patient and family pathways, e.g., multidisciplinary defusing and debriefing, as well as conferences with the hospital chaplain, where ethical issues are discussed
• a work schedule that is a combined wish plan in "Min Tid" and individual agreements based on dialogue with the possibility of flexible meeting times. You can expect 8-10 evening/night shifts over 4 weeks. We have great flexibility in planning weekend work without a fixed weekend rotation. In time, possibility for 12-hour shifts.

Intensiv Øst consists of Intensiv Øst 1, Intensiv Øst 2 and Intensiv Øst 3 and has a total of 21 beds (of which 3 beds are for children in Øst 1).

In addition, Intensive consists of Intensive Nord with 19 beds, Respirations Center West, a preparation department and a secretariat.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child clearance and a satisfactory authorization.

The position is, as a rule, a full-time position.
