About the job

Are you passionate about children's play, strong communities, and a leisure life with room for imagination, immersion, and influence?

And do you want to help create everyday life where all children feel they belong?

Then you might be the engaged and professionally curious pedagogue that KKFO Peder Lykke Skolen is looking for. We need you who want to bring your professionalism into play, take initiative, and contribute to developing our pedagogical practice.

About the job

In our KKFO, play is a central part of the children's leisure life. Here there should be room to explore, create, move, immerse oneself and be together with others.

As a pedagogue you will be an active part of the children's daily life and our pedagogical practice. You must be able to initiate activities and also make space for the children's own initiatives and free play. We work with different niches and activities that give the children the opportunity to explore their interests and develop new competencies.

We expect that you are eager to bring your own interests and professional competencies into play and contribute to developing our offerings together with colleagues. You must be able to see the pedagogical value in play, support the children's relationships, and create participation opportunities for everyone – also when a child needs help finding their place in the community.

We are looking for you who

  • are a qualified pedagogue and want to actively bring your professional skills into play
  • meet children with presence, care, clarity, and respect
  • are focused on play, relationships, well-being, and inclusive children’s communities
  • support the children's participation and take their perspectives seriously
  • take initiative and can translate pedagogical ideas into action
  • thrive on professional sparring and close collaboration with colleagues, teachers, leadership, and parents.

What can you expect from us?

We offer a workplace with engaged and helpful colleagues, good physical facilities, and room to put your own professional imprint on everyday life. With us there is room to grow and support for good ideas and new initiatives. We prioritize a strong collegial community, professional sparring, and joint reflection, so that we can jointly develop our pedagogical practice.

You will become part of a diverse group of children and a professional community where we work together to create the best conditions for the children's well-being, development, and leisure life.

Peder Lykke Skolen and KKFO

KKFO is a municipal leisure offering with about 240 children distributed across two departments. Children from 0–2 years are housed in their own facilities on the school grounds, while the 3rd age group is housed in the 3rd grade building at Brydes, about 100 meters from the school campus. We are part of Peder Lykke Skolen, where pedagogues and teachers collaborate in year-group teams for the children’s well-being, development and learning. We work with co-teaching and see our different professional strengths as an advantage.

Our shared values are respect, democracy, professionalism, and community. In KKFO we work to translate the values into practice by meeting the children with curiosity and respect, giving them influence over their leisure life, and creating frameworks where all children have the opportunity to participate in meaningful communities.

Employment terms

The position is a permanent full-time appointment of 34 hours per week. We would like you to start on December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local salary formation.
