Skilled teacher wanted for our day treatment department, Villaen

We are seeking a trained teacher who understands how to combine teaching with strong personal qualities, such as an overview, tolerance and a calm temperament. We are looking for you who enjoy a sometimes hectic daily life, where you in close collaboration with your class team will teach a small class, which requires professional knowledge, new ideas, initiative, resilience and a smile on your face. We are looking for a teacher for our middle group (3rd-5th grade).

We place high value on cross-department collaboration, which is why you would probably also teach lessons in another group. It is an advantage if you are specialized in mathematics.

Gl. Hjortespringskole is Herlev Municipality's special educational development center.

We provide BOS and special education in Herlev, and we contribute with knowledge and sparring to the general public schools in Herlev, as part of the preventive effort that helps students stay within the normal range.

Gl. Hjortespring School consists of about 160 students and about 85 teachers and pedagogues, a physiotherapist as well as management, administration and a technical service department. We have the following student categories distributed across 3 departments. The departments are located on the same site, except for department A+, which is located in its own premises less than 1 km from Gl. Hjortespringskole.

• Special School: For students with a need for extensive special education, ADHD issues and/or autism spectrum disorders from 0th-10th grade. Students with general learning difficulties. 0th-10th grade.
• A+: For children with moderate to severe retardation and/or infantile autism.
• Treatment and special program Villaen: For students with social/emotional difficulties from 6-13 years. A special education and treatment program.
• Treatment and special program Kompetencen: For students with social/emotional difficulties from 13-17 years. A special education and treatment program.

The framework for Villaen consists of 12 staff plus a permanent substitute in three self-managing teams with flexible planning. Villaen currently has room for 16 students. The students are divided into three groups with 5 or 6 students per group. Conferences, team meetings, staff meetings and supervision are held regularly. There is a close collaboration with parents, and this is highly valued.

We are looking for a skilled teacher who thrives in interaction with students and who has experience with treatment work and special education. You must be prepared to teach subjects such as mathematics and physical education, among others. We are a workplace where there is room to try out and explore new pedagogical approaches for the child's best.

You must, in close collaboration with your colleagues, be part of a daily routine where, in a therapeutic context, the focus is on learning, development and teaching based on the individual child's needs.

Salary and employment
