About the job

Would you like to help create the best opportunities for children, young people and their families?

In the Family Department in Gladsaxe Municipality we are seeking a social worker or social facilitator for a 1-year maternity leave replacement, with good opportunities for permanent employment afterwards.

With us you will be part of an ambitious workplace with high professionalism, strong colleagues and close interprofessional collaboration. We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration – with the children, the young people and their families at the center.

We work purposefully with quality in case handling, high professionalism and development of our authority work, while prioritizing a good working environment, sparring and professional development.

About the position

You will be part of a dedicated authority team, where you follow children, young people and their families through case processes with a focus on inclusion, interdisciplinarity and participation opportunities for all.

Your tasks will include

  • Process and follow up on cases under The Child Act.
  • Prepare child-related investigations, assessments, journal notes and action plans.
  • Ensure timely and professionally well-founded documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up on interventions in close collaboration with children, young people, families and partners.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to holistic solutions.

Participation opportunities for all

In Gladsaxe Municipality we work from the ambition of participation opportunities for everyone. We want all children and young people to experience being part of meaningful communities, and therefore our social work is closely linked to their everyday life.

As an advisor you will therefore have 1-2 fixed days per week, where you are attached to a district school. Here you join a close interprofessional team together with PPR, family consultants and the school’s other professionals. The regular presence creates closeness to the children and families, strengthens interprofessional collaboration and provides good opportunities for early intervention and joint solutions.

About the Family Department

The Family Department consists of around 70 employees spread across reception, a special team, three district teams, four foster care consultants, a safety-planning team, three family coordinators, 3 professional coordinators, as well as seven managers.

We are part of Family and Advisory Services in the Children and Culture Administration and work every day to create the best developmental opportunities for children, young people and their families.

We are in full swing with the implementation of DUBU and work systematically with methods such as FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment), which support inclusion, dialogue and ongoing evaluation of our efforts.

We highly prioritize professional development and place emphasis on sparring, knowledge sharing and a strong collegial community.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is educated as a social worker or social facilitator.
  • Has experience with authority work in the children and youth area or is keen to develop within the area.
  • Has an eye for quality and works systematically with documentation and case handling.
  • Can maintain an overview in complex cases and make professional judgments.
  • Thrives with both independent work and close interprofessional collaboration.
  • Meets children, young people and families with curiosity, respect and an affirming approach.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the Child Act, ICS and relevant professional systems.

We offer

With us you get

  • A permanent position in a development-oriented family department.
  • A thorough introduction and a good onboarding process.
  • Close professional sparring with experienced colleagues and management.
  • Opportunity for ongoing competence development.
  • A strong interprofessional collaboration including PPR, schools and family consultants.
  • Flexible work arrangement and the possibility of working from home 3 days per month by agreement.
  • A workplace focused on well-being, psychological safety and high professional quality.
