About the job

  • become a part of our group program for children with learning difficulties

Are you a dedicated pedagogue with a passion for the field of special education? Then you may be our next colleague at Skovbrynet School.

We are seeking proactive pedagogues with special educational competencies for our group program for children with general learning difficulties from 0–10th grade, where we offer extensive special education in accordance with the Folkeskole Act.

There is an attached special SFO (GFO) for pupils in 0–3rd grade, and the pupils in the group program are organized in smaller groups of 6–10 children, while at the same time being part of the larger community at the general school.

A community focused on participation opportunities

At Skovbrynet School we work every day to create participation opportunities for all children. Our community is characterized by great diversity, and we know that the presence of caring adults has a significant impact on children's well-being and development.

In Gladsaxe Municipality we work purposefully to strengthen participation opportunities for all pupils. Many of our colleagues from PPR and the Family Department have their daily workplace at the school, making it possible to quickly initiate coordinated actions when children need extra support. There is also a very strong political focus on developing the overall leisure time area, and work is targeted at creating strong and coherent offerings that support the well-being, development and participation of children and young people in communities.

The interdisciplinary collaboration between teachers and pedagogues is in positive development, and we therefore seek a colleague who both values the collaboration and wishes to contribute to further developing it.

About you

We are seeking a special education competent pedagogue who

  • has a special education professional profile
  • has strong relationship skills and understands the importance that we primarily work on teaching children and young people how to learn – while preserving their desire to learn
  • has experience from the special needs field and familiarity with work with children with special needs, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome and attachment disorders
  • works calmly and with a mentalizing approach to students, colleagues and themselves
  • can create clear and visually structured pedagogical frameworks for children with different starting points
  • can plan and carry out structured activities – both academic and social
  • thrives in a committed team collaboration with teachers and pedagogues
  • can involve the students and support their independence and belief in their own abilities
  • has an eye for seeing and developing the students' resources and talents
  • is engaged, has an overview and meets children and colleagues with an appreciative and positive view of people

Parents and students experience you as a dedicated pedagogue who naturally sets the direction in both the SFO and in collaboration with the home.

If you can see yourself in a large part of the above – but not necessarily all of it – we would love to hear from you.

With us you will

An exciting and meaningful job together with skilled and engaged colleagues and a group of wonderful children and young people who require your full presence.

You will have the opportunity to help further develop our group program, where we work among other things with

  • visual and structured pedagogy
  • low arousal
  • mentalization

We prioritize plenty of time for preparation, reflection and joint planning, because we know that the pedagogical work with children with special needs requires time, professionalism and close collaboration.

We prioritize a safe everyday life where children can develop academically, personally and socially. This happens through a wide variety of activities and pedagogical offers that motivate, challenge and provide good experiences – and contribute to the development of life-ready children and young people.

About the work

Working hours will be during school time and SFO time. From 7:00 to 16:30. Your working hours will be divided between time with children and time for preparation.
