Anæstesiologisk Intensiv Afdeling V, OUH Svendborg has 3 introductory positions available for filling on February 1, 2027, March 1, 2027 and April 1, 2027 .

With us you get a structured introduction to anaesthesiology, intensive care and emergency treatment. You will be gradually prepared for the tasks, and you are never alone.

Supervision is integrated in both day shifts and on call, and we place high value on feedback, reflection and professional progression.

The department received in 2024 the OUH Education Prize for Medical Continuing Education as recognition of our educational environment.

We offer

• 3 months of on-call free, structured introduction and training, including 3 weeks in intensive care
• close supervision and professional backing around the clock
• experience with anaesthesia, intensive care, obstetrics and operating theatre together with a back-up on-site call
• training in central anesthesiological procedures, including vascular access, nerve blocks, epidural and spinal
• experience with emergency treatment of newborns under supervision
• annual leave with pay for the 8 specialty-specific courses in the introductory education
• simulation and skills training internally and with collaboration departments

• targeted career guidance towards main training in anaesthesiology
• one escort on the emergency medical vehicle in Svendborg

The department

Department V has a wide portfolio of anaesthesiological tasks and provides anaesthesia for organ, orthopaedic, plastic, ENT and vascular surgery as well as urology, gynaecology/obstetrics and obstetrics. In addition we provide anaesthesiological assistance around the clock for caesarean section, poor neonate, cardiac arrest and other acute calls.

Intensive Care Department has 4 + 2 treatment beds for highly specialized intensive therapy and 2 intermediate care beds .

The department also has the Emergency Doctor Vehicle Svendborg , which is manned around the clock with a specialist in anaesthesiology.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable agreement between Young Doctors and Danish Regions.

Besides the starting salary, the salary may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
