About the job

Are you interested in being the coordinator in complex trajectories for children and adolescents with functional symptoms – and are you passionate about observation, coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for as our new employee in Children and Youth.

About the position We are looking for a health or pedagogical employee for an across-function role in Children and Youth at Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospital.

You will be employed with a primary focus on functional trajectories for children and adolescents and will play a central role in ensuring coherence, continuity and systematics in these trajectories. Your role will cover tasks including:

  • children and adolescents with functional symptoms
  • toddlers with eating difficulties
  • children with incontinence issues
  • relevant pedagogical tasks in the department

We tailor parts of your tasks based on your professional profile, and therefore other tasks may be included that naturally relate to the department's needs (both internally at the hospital and externally).

The position is organizationally placed in Children and Youth, and you report to the Chief Physician. You work closely with the Functional Team and other professional groups in Children and Youth.

Who are we seeking? We primarily wish to fill the position with one of the following professional groups:

  • Health visitor/nurse – preferably with experience from pediatrics/child health
  • Pedagogue – with experience from children and adolescents and preferably from somatics/psychiatry

We are open to other relevant health or pedagogical qualifications if you can match the function99s requirements.

Your tasks As coordinator in the functional trajectories you will, among other things

  • observe, describe and document the child

dolescent99s function, well-being and development

  • ensure that observations are shared and used in the ongoing professional assessment and plan
  • coordinate and follow up on agreements and decisions from the Functional Team
  • create an overview of the trajectory and be a consistent person for the child/adolescent and the family
  • participate in cross-disciplinary meetings, network meetings and outpatient conversations
  • Can assist with preparing child-friendly patient information, e.g. small videos. (not an expectation that you can do it, but that you will learn it)

Your competencies We place particular emphasis on ensuring that you

  • have a relevant health or pedagogical education
  • can see patterns and changes in the child

dolescent99s function and well-being

  • can document briefly, precisely, systematically and objectively – both in writing and verbally
  • have experience with or interest in functional symptoms and complex pediatric trajectories
  • can be a coordinator: create structure, keep an overview, follow up and ensure progress in trajectories
  • are comfortable in the role as a unifying person in interdisciplinary collaborations
  • have good communication skills and can convey to both families and professionals
  • thrive with flexibility in tasks and working hours and can adapt to current needs

Flexibility and working hours Working hours are planned flexibly according to the tasks and the current needs in the trajectories. There may be work at different times depending on activities in the Functional Team and the needs of the children, adolescents and their families.

Employment terms The position is full-time with start date 1 February 2027 or by agreement.

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement and agreement with the relevant professional organization.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told base salary, centrally set allowances and pension according to collective agreement 32.17 or 32.38.
