When the rest of the municipality is asleep, you are the nursing professional sparring partner who helps colleagues find the best solutions close to the citizens.

About the job and tasks

The phone rings from a nursing home. A citizen has changed condition, and the staff need a nursing professional assessment. An hour later you are with a citizen in their own home. Later you advise a colleague over the phone and help with a complex nursing task somewhere else in the municipality.

From January 1, 2027, municipal acute nursing care will transfer to the region. Therefore we are establishing a new night nursing team in Hedensted Municipality. We are looking for three nurses who want to help shape the way we solve nursing tasks at night in the future.

As a night nurse you will become part of a new team, and your most important task will be to ensure nursing professional support and assessment across the municipality at night. You will, among other things, do the following:

• Handle acute and complex nursing tasks for citizens.
• Support social and health care helpers and social and health assistants with professional sparring.
• Make nursing professional assessments in situations where there is not always a Facit/one right answer.
• Collaborate with colleagues at nursing homes, in home care, and at temporary placements.
• Be involved in developing and shaping a completely new night nursing team.

The job requires you to create an overview, prioritize, and use your professional judgment in situations where tasks are seldom the same.

Our expectations for you

We expect that

• You are a licensed nurse.
• You may have experience from the elderly care sector. You may come with experience from another area where assessment, coordination, and independence have been a big part of daily life.
• At night there is not always a colleague right beside you. Therefore you must be able to create an overview, make professional decisions, and collaborate with many different professional groups, often over the phone.
• You do not need to know all the answers in advance. Some of the situations you meet at night are characterized precisely by there not being one correct solution. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who uses their professional judgment, dares to make decisions when necessary, and is curious enough to learn from the situations where the solution reveals itself along the way.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate qualification and function pay.

We are looking for three nurses for permanent positions of 28-37 hours per week by agreement. The positions are desired to be filled on January 1, 2027.

Working hours primarily at night. Fixed meeting place is Sneppevej 30 in Løsning.
