TUBA Viborg seeks a volunteer psychotherapist or psychologist for group therapy

We are seeking a volunteer for our department in Viborg , who can be a co-therapist in group programs for young people. The group program takes place on Wednesdays in even weeks in the time frame 16:30-20:30 .

TUBA offers therapy and counseling to young people aged 12-35 from families with substance abuse problems. Our services consist of online counseling, education, individual conversations and group therapy in shorter or longer-term programs. The young people who come to TUBA are very different in terms of life conditions, views and therapeutic goals. Responsibilities and expectations

As a group therapist

• You function as a group therapist together with a regular staff member every 14 days for about 4 hours. These hours cover 3 hours of group therapy, plus about half an hour before the group starts for preparation and a half hour after for tidying up and evaluation together with the regular staff member. The group in Viborg is for young people aged approximately 25–35 years.
• As a group therapist you participate in 20 group sessions (excluding holidays, etc.; the program spans roughly over a year).
• The group takes place on Wednesdays in even weeks from 17:00-20:00.
• After a period of training there may be times when you have the group alone due to holidays or possible illness.

All volunteers are expected to

• Use FIT in connection with therapy. You will be introduced to FIT.
• Be able to document in writing in connection with therapy notes and extension applications.
• Join in ordinary office communal activities (make coffee, tidy up, etc.).
• Attend mandatory professional presentations.
• Actively participate in mandatory supervision at least 3 times per half-year. These take place currently at TUBA Aarhus.

Requirements

• You are either a psychologist or a certified psychotherapist from a 4-year education. In special cases, waivers can be made for volunteer psychotherapists or psychologists who are students in the final half-year of their studies.
• You must be able to commit to working a year as a volunteer at TUBA, as it is important for our young people that we strive for as much stability as possible in the programs.

• Has psychotherapeutic experience or other relevant experience.
• Has knowledge of several therapeutic methods.
• Possesses the ability to reflect on one's own practice both personally and in supervision.
• Is an open, present and engaged person.

You are invited to an interview where we discuss your motivation to be a volunteer therapist at TUBA, your professional and personal competencies.

If you are subsequently employed in the volunteer position, you will participate in a half-day introduction before you start the group program with the young people.
