Eye Operations Department EO is seeking a new colleague

We are seeking a nurse (37 hours/week) for the Eye Operations Department EO with employment from January 1, 2027.

About Eye Operations Department EO

In the operating department we operate patients with eye disorders, and we have a large flow of patients for both elective and acute operations. We treat patients of all ages.

We are 23 nurses in the department. We operate in 5 rooms, and in the Patient Hotel on the 2nd floor the operating department has three injection rooms where we treat patients with, among others, AMD.

In addition we staff our Day Surgery Department, where we receive and prepare the patients who are to be operated under general anesthesia.

We have a duty roster for the entire Region of Southern Denmark every day of the week. On weekdays there is daily a nurse with on-call duty from home from 15:30 to 22:00, and Saturdays there is presence in the department from 07:30-13:30, after which you have on-call duty from home until 22:00. Sundays are covered by on-call duty from 07:30-22:00.

We work across the professional subspecialties within ophthalmology, but there is the opportunity to deepen and become proficient in a selected subspecialty. In addition we have a clinical supervisor and a supervising team who handle the primary functions around the nursing students and social-and health care assistant students we receive in the ophthalmology department.

We have a clinical nurse specialist who assists with development tasks in close collaboration with the department's colleagues and management.

The Eye Department E also consists of 3 ophthalmology outpatient clinics and a research unit.
