General worker / Facilities technician for the indoor group at Oksbøl Barracks with the Establishment and Terrain Command

We have an interesting position in Oksbøl, where you can help support development and assist soldiers in their daily activities.

About us

The Establishment and Terrain Command has its headquarters in Hjørring, but has employees at service locations across the country.

We develop and maintain the physical framework for the Defence's operational units. This includes building maintenance, grounds care, repairs of firing ranges and coordination of subcontractors – and much, much more.

In total 28 establishment partner elements perform our tasks locally, of which one is Oksbøl, which you will become part of. Here, all from terrain- and building maintenance to fire readiness and radar service are handled. When you are on fire watch outside normal working hours, it is done as an on-call standby from home, where you must be able to report to Oksbøl Barracks no later than 45 minutes after being notified.

About the position

We are split into two groups (inside the fence / outside the fence).

You will join the group that works primarily indoors.

Your tasks

• Light maintenance of buildings and technical installations.
• Relocation and setup tasks in connection with events and activities.
• Operations and maintenance of green areas, grounds and firing ranges.
• Participation in fire watch after completing training.
• Participation in radar watch after completing training.
• Waste management and toilet service.
• Diverse ad hoc tasks in daily operations.

About you

We envision that you are trained as a property service technician.

We emphasize that you have experience with building maintenance, operation of construction equipment, can use a computer at user level, and you communicate well in both Danish and English at a basic/user level and you get along easily with other people. As a person you are congenial by nature, have a positive outlook on life and good situational awareness.

You have a positive influence that supports collaboration and lifts the sense of community. You have a systematic approach to your work, show good service attitude and guide in different situations. You take responsibility for your tasks and are willing to go the extra mile to find solutions to problems or challenges.

In the startup phase there can be many uncertainties, and some things may not yet be fully in place. Therefore it is important that you are able to adapt during this period.

It is a requirement that you hold a driving license category B, and it is a requirement that you can obtain a category C (over 3500 kg) license as well.

Terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the current Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees – The Public Sector Collective Agreement (OAO-S joint agreement) and the Collective Agreement for cleaners, sanitizers, skilled workers and certain vocationally trained etc. in the state mv. (3F).

The base salary for a trained property service technician is 28,911.92 DKK per month. If you do not have a relevant vocational education, the employment is as a skilled worker with base salary 26,228.00 DKK per month.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating allowances. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Oksbøl.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain security clearance and maintain it throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar operations.

The Establishment- and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and services military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to deliver and develop attractive physical frameworks that are necessary for their daily work.
