The Danish Health Authority seeks expert advisors for work on oral health

The Danish Health Authority faces major and exciting tasks within dental health. Do you have your finger on the pulse of professional knowledge, practice and development in the field? Would you like to help advise the Danish Health Authority in our work? Then you may be one of our new expert advisers. We are seeking at least one dentist as well as one additional expert with a relevant health professional education and strong competencies in dental health.

Your everyday life with us

As an expert adviser at the Danish Health Authority you will have the following tasks to varying extent:

• Ongoing health-professional advisory work – sometimes with short deadlines
• Participation in councils, committees and working groups within the Danish Health Authority’s remit
• Professional, possibly written contributions to e.g. reports and notes, answering questions from the Parliament etc.

In addition to advisory tasks, the position also entails that you continuously follow the professional development within the area.

We expect that initiatives related to the agreement on a new model for adult dental care and the government's ambition for free dental care will be tasks that among other things will be in focus.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

We expect that you have broad experience within dental health, both clinical and organizational, and insight into the organization of dental care in Denmark and the various schemes for dental care. It is a requirement that you have an active clinical connection. You have an educational background as either dentist, dental hygienist, clinical dental technologist or another relevant education in dental health.

In addition, we expect that you have

• strong health-professional competencies and a broad network
• relevant administrative and organizational experience, including preferably leadership experience
• an active clinical attachment to dental care
• broad and up-to-date knowledge of the professional and scientific development within your field
• can express yourself well in writing.

About the appointment

Depending on your educational background you will be employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the negotiating organization.

If you are covered by the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Organization of Academics, you will be employed as a chief consultant.

The position is temporary for three years. The weekly working time is 4 hours. The work does not have to be performed from the workplace.
