Educator for transition and support tasks at Korsager School

Are you a professionally strong and engaged educator with a desire to make a difference for children both before and after starting school? Then we may have the position for you.

Korsager Skole is seeking a skilled and relationship-building transition educator who wants to be a permanent part of our kindergarten class team and at the same time help create smooth transitions from kindergarten to KKFO and to school.

We are a well-functioning public school with steadily increasing student numbers in the Copenhagen Municipality. We are located in the heart of Brønshøj/Husum and have plenty of nature around us. We are about 90 skilled and happy staff and around 800 sweet pupils spread across three to four streams. We have good teaching facilities, good conditions and, best of all, a staff room filled with smiles, warmth and helpfulness.

Close to the children – both before and after starting school

As a transition educator you will become a fixed part of our kindergarten class team and have a daily life close to the children.

About half of your time will consist of fixed hours in the kindergarten classes, where you, together with kindergarten class leaders, kindergarten class assistants and class educators, support the children’s academic and social development. You will therefore not be a function beside the classes, but a fixed and recognizable adult in the children’s school daily life.

The other part of your time will be more flexible and aimed at the children who, in periods, need an extra hand to participate in the class community. It can be individual or small-group sessions, support in transitions throughout the school day, or close collaboration with the team around concrete children.

An important part of the position is also to be a contact point between the school and the local kindergartens. In the spring, our transition educators visit all local kindergartens and meet the children who will start Korsager Skole after the summer holiday. The goal is that the children meet a familiar adult from the school before starting school, and that we as a school get to know the group of children well.

You will also participate in collaboration with pedagogues and pedagogical leaders in the daycare facilities and help bring relevant knowledge into the work with the children in KKFO and school.

Since the transition educator function is still under development, you will also have the opportunity to help shape the position and, together with colleagues and management, find the best ways to organize the work.

Employment and compensation

The appointment is in a permanent position of 37 hours per week. The position follows the school year norm, and the working hours will therefore be distributed over the school’s workdays. Appointment on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay-setting. In connection with the appointment we will obtain a background check and references.
