About the job

Do you have an interest in project management and the clinical laboratories in hospitals? Are you motivated by driving health technology projects, cross-disciplinary collaboration and developing your competences - then we have the job for you.

Therefore you should apply for the position

The vast majority of patient journeys in hospitals depend on the work in the laboratories and the analysis results they deliver. The analyses are performed on devices that are bought, implemented and serviced by Medicoteknik in close collaboration with suppliers and clinical staff. The complexity varies from small, standalone equipment to large fully automated solutions with advanced software and integrations to other systems.

We are in the process of implementing 7 fully automated biochemical laboratories at the region's hospitals. The projects are complex, therefore we need to strengthen our organization with another regional project manager to solve the task.

As a project manager you will have responsibility for driving part of the implementation of the 7 fully automated laboratories through to final handover. All projects have already been started but are at different stages of planning, implementation and commissioning.

The position is task-based and employment ends when the regional implementation task is completed. It is defined as:

  • All 7 fully automated laboratories are implemented,
  • There exists an approved handover for the last installation,

At present, the task is expected to be completed around early/mid 2029, but the final date depends on the project course. There is thus no fixed-term employment with a set end date, but a task-based employment ending at the above milestones

Your new everyday

As Regional Project Manager you will be partly responsible for the cross-regional activities in the 7 projects in the portfolio as well as being responsible for one or more of the local implementations.

In the cross-regional/regional function you will for instance be responsible for

  • Managing the steering group (meetings, agenda, minutes etc.)
  • Following up on services delivered as agreed
  • Following up that training is carried out as planned and with the correct quality
  • Handling cross-cutting tasks and issues in the projects in general
  • Driving clarifications and discussions with the supplier of cross-cutting character
  • Coordination and follow-up with the supplier regarding their capability and progress in the projects
  • Contract follow-up with a view to the supplier fulfilling its obligations
  • Participate in coordination and sparring with colleagues in the Area Laboratories regarding the implementation

In the individual implementation project you will be responsible for

  • Organize and manage projects in accordance with the common project management principles and tools
  • Ensure a good implementation process, usually in close collaboration with the hospitals' technical departments, IT, suppliers and laboratory staff
  • Collaborate with the laboratories, building technical departments, purchasers, technicians and suppliers to achieve the agreed goals and realize benefits
  • Responsible for compliance with economy, time, resources and deliveries in the projects
  • Follow up that requirements to suppliers and equipment are met in connection with commissioning and handover

Your profile and experience

Your educational background is not decisive, but we would like you to have concrete experience that you can bring into the position, and that your education supports you in a knowledge-intensive environment

  • Experience with clinical laboratories, preferably biochemistry, in hospitals and the public sector.
  • Concrete experience with project management.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and navigate public contracts, with a view to ensuring contract performance.

We also value that you

  • Are good at collaborating with colleagues with different professional and personal backgrounds and creating relationships and buy-in in your projects. Use each other's differences to find the best solution.
  • Are good at learning new things and have a desire to build your knowledge, as the laboratories contain a high level of detail.
  • Can work independently and seek the necessary knowledge.
  • Thrive with a lot of responsibility and can handle complex problems.
  • Can handle projects in a large organization that is constantly changing.
