Rolstruplund is seeking a Social- and Health Care Assistant

We at Rolstruplund are seeking a social- and health care assistant colleague as of 1/12-26, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Whether you want primarily evening or day shifts is up to you. We work every 2nd weekend.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, corresponding to full-time. If a different number of hours is desired, this can be agreed.

Rolstruplund

Rolstruplund is a care center with 48 apartments, distributed with 12 in each of the four residential units.

We are located in beautiful surroundings a short distance outside Nykøbing town, in green surroundings, and where there is room for a bit of mischief and grazing ponies outside our door.

Your colleagues

We employ many professional groups, including SSH, SSA, ergotherapists, nurses, cleaning staff, unskilled substitutes, secretary, janitor, caterer and see this as a great resource, as we all help each other and everyone is here to give residents a meaningful everyday life.

Besides being colleagues at work, we also have social activities in our leisure time. Of course it is completely voluntary, but really fun and cozy.

Approximately 4 times a year, our events committee organizes activities, for example paddle, bowling, Christmas lunch and a walk with a meal.

Residents

The residents here at Rolstruplund have lived long lives and are at the stage of life where they need care, support, structure and guidance.

The residents are challenged both physically and cognitively and need substantial support to continue to live a life where quality of life, dignity, self-determination and participation are in focus.

Relatives

We highly value collaboration with relatives and see them as a great resource for the residents and for us as employees.

Volunteers

We have fantastic volunteers who come and participate in activities with the residents.

They help, among other things, with bingo, gymnastics, cycling trips, and whatever else is organized that requires voluntary hands.

Expectations of you

• You are trained as an SSA
• You are professionally well-founded, curious, creative, imaginative and willing to think and act differently, as the approach to some of our residents sometimes requires this.
• You focus on the core task being the residents, their wishes and needs, but at the same time apply your professional knowledge if wishes and needs do not align with what you consider professionally justifiable.
• You are positive, engaged in the work, but also in collegiality and believe that everyone does their best.
• You are flexible, stable and loyal
• Having experience with residents with cognitive challenges, such as dementia, would be a great advantage.
