Social and Health Care Assistant for Evening Shift at Sønderhaven Nursing Home

We are seeking professionally competent and present social- and health care assistants who want to be part of the continued development taking place at the nursing home. At Sønderhaven we have employed social- and health care assistants, social- and health care assistants (care assistants), development nurse, nurses, activity staff, shift planner, managers and a music therapist.

Your most important tasks

• Participate in the daily care and support for and with the residents
• Ensure that daily task solving and documentation are updated and followed. Our documentation system is Nexus.
• Follow the health- and nursing- professional procedures
• Help create an active and cozy everyday life together with the residents, where weekly and yearly traditions are felt and lived
• Work cross-professionally with partners within the area
• Together with fellow social- and health care assistants share the responsible function.

Your competences

• Professionally strong within the health and care field and you keep yourself updated on the latest knowledge and procedures
• Have an eye for the significance of creating relationships with residents as an entry point to task solving
• You are curious and want to develop new competences.
• You work from person-centered care.
• You are educated as a social- and health care assistant.
• You have an overview and can coordinate tasks.
• You are good at engaging in collaboration and dialogue with colleagues, residents and relatives.
• You share responsibility for and are an active part of competence development.

Who we are

Sønderhaven is a modern nursing home from 2012. The home consists of two floors, housing a total of 48 nursing home apartments. Some of the residents are diagnosed with a dementia disease and have cognitive impairments, therefore it is essential that the day has familiar frames, but no fixed schedule, where there is presence to read each resident's mood and needs.

Hiring process and salary

The starting date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

We will conduct interviews in week 48.

The position is as a rule 37 hours, mainly in the evening shift with weekend work every other week, and is a permanent position.

Application deadline: November 19, 2026.

We offer salary and employment terms in accordance with the collective agreement for social- and health care assistants in municipalities.

Employment takes place according to the principles of local wage formation and after agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position as a social- and health care assistant is DKK 31,420 – 43,824 per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is determined after negotiations between the employer and the trade organization that has the right to negotiate in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
