About the job
Do you have a handle on Excel, an eye for detail and a desire to work with HR data? Do you thrive at creating structure, finding connections and ensuring the numbers add up?
So you may be our new student assistant in HR Data and International Service.
About us
HR Data and International Service is part of Corporate HR in the Danish Police. We are responsible for national HR management information and contribute to answering FOI requests and parliamentary questions where HR data are involved. The section consists of 20 employees with different educational backgrounds and tasks within the HR area.
With us you become part of a professional community where we help each other, share knowledge and have room for humor in daily life.
About the position
We are seeking a student assistant with strong Excel skills and a structured approach to data. You will primarily extract, process and quality-assure HR data. The tasks require you to work systematically, have an eye for detail and ensure high quality in your deliveries. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to larger analyses and regulatory tasks. If you have experience with VBA, that is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Your tasks will primarily be
- Extraction, processing and quality assurance of HR data for our regular deliveries.
- Preparation of data foundations and drafts for responses to FOI requests and parliamentary questions.
- Processing and analysis of HR data for projects, regulatory tasks and decision briefs.
About you
You thrive with tasks that require concentration, thoroughness and a sense for detail. You work systematically, create an overview and complete your tasks to the end.
We expect that you
- Have strong Excel skills and an interest in data processing.
- Work structurally and methodically.
- Have an eye for details and ensure quality in your work.
- Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
- Maintain an overview and prioritise your tasks, even when deadlines are short.
- Are curious about how we can optimise our workflows.
We imagine that you are pursuing a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, for example in economics, HR or another analytical field.
You collaborate well with others, are service-minded and thrive in a large organization. We particularly emphasise that you work thoroughly and are motivated by creating structure and quality in data.
Salary and terms
The average weekly working time is 15 hours, generally distributed over two full working days. The scheduling of work hours will be agreed together, and there will be flexibility with, for example, fewer/more hours during exam and holiday periods.
You will be employed as a hourly-paid student in accordance with the applicable joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Governmental Sector and the collective agreement for office staff, laboratory technicians and IT employees (HK).
Your workplace will be the Danish Police with an address at Polititorvet 14 in Copenhagen.
It is a condition of employment that you can obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout your employment.
The positions are to be filled as soon as possible.
The Danish Police operates a smoke-free workplace.

In the police, we all work together for safety and security
We are about 18,000 employees in the police, where about two-thirds are police officers and police cadets and the rest civilian employees. We are all deeply committed to ensuring that the realm is a safe and secure place to live – whether we work with operational readiness, prevention or investigation, or contribute with one of the many other important functions in the police.
The Danish Police is the police’s supreme authority and has the overarching responsibility for the realm’s 14 police districts and National Unit for Special Crime (NSK). We ensure the police have the right framework for the police’s work and development. We stand behind good leadership and training. Behind service weapons that match the task. Behind proper help if the wound has taken root in the minds of our police colleagues. We stand behind technology that follows development.
Behind the distribution of resources. Behind the police of the future. It is us – the Danish Police – who are always behind those who stand at the front.
