Technical service assistant wanted at Jels School

At Jels School we are looking for a responsible and independent employee who wants to help ensure that our school, buildings and outdoor areas appear inviting, functioning well and safe for students, staff and visitors.

About the position

As a technical maintenance worker you will be an important part of the school's daily operation. You will have broad contact surfaces and will work closely with the school's management, staff, students as well as external craftsmen and suppliers.

The position is initially on 30-37 hours per week , depending on your wishes and qualifications.

Your tasks

You will among other things have responsibility for

• Indoor and outdoor maintenance of the school's buildings and outdoor areas
• Ongoing supervision of the school's technical installations and control systems
• Smaller craft tasks and repairs
• Painting and renovation tasks in classrooms and common areas
• Maintenance of playgrounds, green areas and outdoor spaces
• Grass mowing, pruning, weed control and winter service
• Preparation of rooms for meetings, events and activities
• Coordination and cooperation with external craftsmen
• Practical support for the school's daily operations and development

• Are good at planning and structuring your work
• Work independently and take responsibility for the tasks
• Are flexible and adaptable
• Have good collaboration skills and a positive approach to everyday life
• Are patient and good at interacting with both children and adults
• Have a craft education or experience, e.g. as plumber, carpenter, mason or similar
• Have experience with or interest in technical and IT-based control systems
• Can keep an overview in a busy daily life with many different tasks
• Have a driving license and own car available

Practical information

Start date: December 1, 2026

Employment scope: 30-37 hours per week.

• Salary and terms of employment: Salary according to qualifications and applicable collective agreement, expected placed on pay grade 16 + possibly relevant supplements (details discussed at first interview).
