About the job

Will you help ensure well-being and strengthen the good study environment for our students in the teacher education program in Aarhus and Grenaa?

In the teacher education program we train teachers who support well-being and development for children, young people and adults in vulnerable situations. We are a large and diverse staff group consisting of teachers, student counselors, workshop assistants, managers, administrative staff, and more. You will thus become part of a diverse working environment, where our different competencies contribute to solving our common educational task.

We are seeking a person with guidance competencies and knowledge of education, who has a special ability to balance in meeting the students and understanding the organizational framework and possibilities. In addition, you must be focused on creating well-being and participation opportunities for students through qualified study and admission guidance, SPS coordination and conversations, and diverse communities.

SPS tasks

In the teacher education program in Aarhus and Grenaa we have approximately 150 students annually who apply for and – if they are entitled to it – receive SPS guidance. The number of students entitled to SPS is increasing.

  • Further develop the SPS area with a view to building and ensuring a professional environment, including professional sparring and competence development.
  • Keep yourself updated on new knowledge as well as local guidelines for the area.
  • Coordinate SPS tasks in collaboration with the SPS administrative staff.
  • Handle SPS guidance for about 20 students per year.

Study guidance tasks

  • Individual study guidance with students in connection with illness, distress, readmission, transfer or similar.
  • Admissions guidance, including dialogue and guidance in connection with applications, admission requirements, processing of mandatory credit transfer, etc.
  • Recruitment tasks such as open house events, information meetings, etc.
  • Contribute to further developing the education’s study-social environments.

The educational landscape is changing, which will affect the teacher education program’s admissions, student body, and target group, and will be important for the future study guidance and SPS work. The tasks may therefore vary depending on the program’s needs and the applicant’s competences as well as reform development.

Your profile

  • A guidance education at Master’s level or another relevant Master’s program with an additional diploma in guidance.
  • Experience in SPS guidance and/or study guidance.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in the education area and the teaching profession.
  • Strong communicative skills and good collaboration abilities.
  • You can work independently, in a structured manner and keep an overview of your tasks.
  • You thrive both working independently and in a team.

We offer a professional and development-oriented workplace characterized by an engaged collegial community with a focus on academically safe learning communities.

Terms of employment

Your workplace will be in both Aarhus and Grenaa. You should expect to spend about one day a week in Grenaa and four days in Aarhus.
