About the job

Are you passionate about early preventive work with children and young people aged 0-18 years, then it might be you we are looking for. We are looking for 1 new colleague for our Reception in Kerteminde Municipality. You will become part of a team with 4 Children and Youth Advisors and 5 Children and Youth Support Persons, who work with preventive efforts under the Child Act.

In our Reception we are currently moving closer to our general area. This means that our Children and Youth Support Persons will also have to be part of our daily life at schools and in day care. The children and the young should have the opportunity to easily and safely request help, and it should also be possible to initiate support in a class community and in day care, where there is close collaboration with the school and day care staff.

We want to contribute to ensuring that the child, through early support, maintains healthy communities, a stable everyday life and healthy interests. We want to be able to provide the child and the young with support exactly where they have their daily life. Both in school, day care and at home.

About us and the job

Family-, Children & Young People Guidance is a multidisciplinary department that covers all well-being-promoting and preventive initiatives in the children and youth area. The department is led by one overall top manager and 5 team leaders for the approximately 80 employees. Everyone is organized into teams within Health Services, PPR, SSP, the Reception, Family Team and the Child Disability Team.

The Reception consists of children and youth advisors, Children and Youth Support Persons, Children and Family Counselors and a team leader who works with vulnerable children and families in the target group 0-18 years. The Reception works with early preventive support and interventions. We are seeking colleagues who want to work with early preventive support and interventions within the Child Act §28, §29 and §30.

Your tasks will primarily consist of providing supportive interventions to Children and Young People aged 0-18 years, and their families. Through a flexible and independent workday, you should be able to work in a structured way. Your tasks will include giving families and children advice and guidance, as well as support, where you help to ensure that the child or the young person’s problems do not grow bigger.

There will also be tasks where group programs, interventions in collaboration with schools and day care will be part of your daily life. We therefore expect you to be willing to think creatively and innovatively to provide the support that makes sense in a given situation.

We expect that you

  • Have a social-professional background. Preferably with special knowledge about children in day care.
  • Have experience in working with vulnerable children and families.
  • Are brave and willing to work in processes where we must be curious and explore with the family, the child and professionals around the child.
  • Are good at working and thinking cross-disciplinary, as we collaborate and coordinate across many different professional areas, and see this as one of our strengths.
  • Possess strong relational skills, and be able to create security and a relationship with the children and young people you work with.
  • Are professionally well-founded and able to create structure in a flexible everyday life.
  • Can work independently and at the same time participate in a team collaboration.
  • Are mentalizing in the work – both in meetings with citizens and in sparring with colleagues.
  • Will actively contribute to a good working environment where humor is a big part of everyday life.

What we offer?

Family- Children and Youth Guidance is a place of work where we offer an exciting and versatile job in an development-oriented organization with a good social environment.
