Chief Accountant for Sunset Boulevard Wanted!

Do you want to take responsibility for a central finance function and help ensure high quality in accounting, reporting and financial processes? We are seeking an Accounting Manager who can take responsibility for daily operations and contribute to the continued development of the finance function at Sunset Boulevard.

From the head office we support the daily operations and development of the business across the restaurants. As part of the finance function you will therefore have a role close to both the operations and the overall development of the company.

About the position

The role as accounting manager involves leadership responsibility for our team of specialists who ensure the entire foundation of our financial reporting. You must be a strong leader who both has a solid professional foundation so you can advise on questions from the team, but also important to contribute to developing the team and creating a good culture in the department.

You have experience from previous roles that give you a natural prerequisite to balance operations and development and the ability to create confidence around expertise and quality of work. As accounting manager you will report to the CFO, and be a natural sparring partner on all questions related to accounting, governance, treasury and represent Sunset Boulevard to external stakeholders such as auditors, banks and insurers.

You are naturally curious, good at driving things independently, and get energy from delivering results through a team effort, and thrive in a company characterized by an informal tone and close contact between finance and the rest of the organization.

Your primary areas of responsibility will include

• Responsibility for the daily accounting function
• Monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Ensuring quality and timeliness in accounting and reporting
• Reconciliations, accruals and other accounting processes
• Coordination and collaboration with the auditor in connection with the year-end closing
• Development and optimization of processes, workflows and internal controls
• Sparring with the CFO and the rest of the organization on accounting issues
• Leadership and development of staff in the accounting function

Who are you? We envisage that you have a solid accounting background and experience from a similar role, for example as accounting manager, financial manager, finance manager or an experienced controller with responsibility for the accounting process.
