Chief Accountant wanted for Sunset Boulevard!

Will you take responsibility for a central finance function and help ensure high quality in accounting, reporting, and financial processes? We are seeking an Accounting Manager who can take responsibility for daily operations and contribute to the ongoing development of the finance function at Sunset Boulevard.

Sunset Boulevard is a Danish restaurant chain with a strong brand and a growing organization. From the headquarters we support the daily operations and development of the business across the restaurants. As part of the finance function you will therefore have a role close to both operations and the overall development of the company.

About the position

The role as accounting manager entails management responsibility for our team of specialists who ensure the entire foundation of our financial reporting. You should be a strong leader who both has a solid professional background so you can spar on professional questions from the team, but importantly also be involved in developing the team, and creating a good culture in the department.

You have experience from previous roles that give you a natural basis for balancing operations and development and the ability to create security around professionalism and quality in the work. As accounting manager you will report to the CFO, and be a natural sparring partner on all questions related to accounting, governance, treasury and represent Sunset Boulevard to external stakeholders such as auditors, banks and insurance.

You are curious by nature, and good at driving things independently, and you gain energy from delivering results through teamwork, and thrive in a company characterized by an informal tone and close contact between finance and the rest of the organization.

Your primary areas of responsibility will include

• Responsible for the daily accounting function
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
• Ensuring quality and timeliness in accounting and reporting
• Reconciliations, accruals and other accounting processes
• Coordination and collaboration with the auditor in connection with year-end closing
• Development and optimization of processes, workflows and internal controls
• Sparring with the CFO and the rest of the organization on accounting issues
• Leadership and development of staff in the accounting function

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a solid accounting background and experience from a similar role, for example as accounting manager, finance manager, finance lead or an experienced controller responsible for the accounting process.
