In the Bocenter at the Neurocenter Bytoften in Herning we are expanding and therefore we are looking for an educator who wants to become part of a strong multidisciplinary community around adults with acquired or congenital brain injury.

With us you will have work with meaning, where residents' well-being, quality of life and opportunity to be active participants in their own lives are the focus. We support residents in their daily life and home life with, among other things, personal care, structure, activities, community and relationships. Our goal is to create safe and meaningful frameworks, where the individual resident gets the best possible conditions for a rich life.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary colleague group with educators, social- and health care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and nurses. We work closely together, actively use each other's knowledge and emphasize professional sparring, development and good collegiality. Experience with the target group or specialized training is not a requirement. The most important for us is that you want to work with people with brain injury, are bold to learn new things and want to develop yourself together with us.

As an educator, you will be an important part of the neuro-pedagogical effort. You work relationship-oriented and recognitive starting from the individual resident's resources, needs and life situation. Your professionalism, your ability to build relationships and your approach to structure, predictability and community will be of great importance in everyday life.

The position can be up to 37 hours on average and involves rotating day and evening shifts. On average you have one evening shift per week and a 12-hour shift from 7:00 to 19:00 about every other week. Weekend work depends on total hours: at 34-37 hours you work every third weekend, and at 33 hours or less you work every fourth weekend.

Bocentret is a permanent residential facility for adults with acquired or congenital brain injury, characterized by significant and permanent physical and/or cognitive impairment. Residents have, among other things, needs for personal care, coordination of activities and support to be part of the community.
