About the job

With the new health reform, acute nursing will transfer from municipal home care to the region's hospitals as of January 1, 2027.

The acute nursing service will in the future cover the need for acute nursing in our health board area which covers the municipalities: Roskilde, Solrød, Greve, Køge, Stevns, Faxe, Vordingborg, Guldborgsund and Lolland. We are seeking acute care nurses for Guldborgsund, Faxe, Stevns and Roskilde. You will be attached to one primary base.

As part of the health reform, a new Geriatric Department will be established at Zealand University Hospital (Sjællands Universitetshospital) located in Køge and in Nykøbing Falster. In addition to 2 geriatric beds with associated outpatient functions, the department consists of a ward dedicated to Borgernær Sundhed, under which acute nursing is placed.

Acute nursing will play a central role in developing proximity, equity and continuity for citizen pathways.

The acute nursing service is organized so we ensure proximity to the citizens and local familiarity. As an acute nurse in Borgernær Sundhed your primary workplace will be in the citizens' homes and on the acute nursing clinics.

  • Are licensed nurses with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
  • Have knowledge of acute nursing, municipal nursing or simply want to try something new
  • Thrive working independently and making quick clinical decisions
  • Are able to build trust and security with the citizen and relatives and can adapt communication to the individual citizen.
  • Think health promotion and are able to work with a preventive and supportive approach so that the citizen avoids unnecessary hospitalizations.
  • Have good collaboration skills and can see and draw on the “community” across sectors.
  • Understand that a good working environment does not come by itself – we create it together.
  • Have a driving license

  • Work closely with doctors, other health professionals and relatives for the best solution for the citizen
  • Participate in developing and implementing new working methods and initiatives within acute nursing in the citizen-centered health care
  • Contribute to a safe and professional working environment with focus on well-being, quality and development

We offer

  • An exciting position in a newly established department with the opportunity to contribute to the development of future acute nursing in a context of proximity, equity and coherence
  • A professional nursing community where innovation, quality, presence and professionalism are in focus
  • Dedicated and motivated colleagues who meet with a positive attitude
  • An workplace with room for new ideas and initiatives
  • An workplace with close and exciting collaboration across sectors
  • Good opportunities for ongoing skills development
  • A department focused on a good working environment, dialogue and inclusion.
  • An onboarding program with professional and organizational content, where you are introduced to all the new.
