Responsible and engaged educators sought for the residential facility Studievej 15 in Nørresundby

We are looking for two new colleagues who put people first and want to work to strengthen each citizen's potential and well-being in an environment with high professional standards and development opportunities.

At Botilbuddet Studievej 15 in Nørresundby, 30 adults live, all of whom have permanent developmental disabilities.

As an employee at Studievej 15 you will work with tasks that support the individual's social-pedagogical support and assistance needs as well as tasks that support the individual's health and well-being. Thus, the tasks involve identifying and supporting the development and relational opportunities that are meaningful and relevant for the individual.

About the organization

We are convinced that all people have wishes, hopes and dreams, and that everyone should experience being meaningful in their own life and in others' lives. We believe that the citizens are experts in their own lives and we are experts in the professional methods and approaches we base our work on. With this mindset, we work in our daily practice from the Recovery-Oriented-Rehabilitative approach (ROR), where health and health promotion are also included.

In daily practice we work from a deliberately inside-out perspective (indefra-perspektiv), where we are curious about citizens' wishes, hopes and dreams and therefore notice signs and signals that indicate what gives energy and drive to the individual. We facilitate that their interpersonal relationships and communication - including with relatives - arise on their own premises.

Botilbuddet Studievej 15 is part of the management field Botilbud Nord in the Center for Vitality. Here we have a common value base, where the neuro-pedagogical reflection and understanding framework forms the central point together with ROR.

More about the positions and your new workplace

The positions are permanent and on average 37 hours per week. You will have rotating working hours - mainly evenings with some day shifts and every other weekend.

Start date requested January 1, 2027, or as soon as possible.

Your tasks will be

• To set the framework for daily activities so that the individual can contribute and engage as independently and autonomously as possible, and thus utilize their own resources and develop their own potential.
• To find creative ways that enable the individual to make choices and express wishes, hopes and dreams (inside-out perspective)
• To notice and support the small steps that give a good sense of mastery, development and learning.
• Work with development-focused aim in all everyday processes for the individual – including care tasks.
• To dare to challenge habits and patterns and try something new.
• To rethink welfare in new ways
• To collaborate with colleagues to develop the professional reflections and justifications so that we always have a methodological awareness as well as professionalism in our own and each other's actions.
• To take daily responsibility for acting on and complying with the citizens' services and structures.

We expect that you

• Are a trained social educator
• Can take the initiative to implement new initiatives – in a way that is coordinated and coherent with other initiatives in the house.
• Can give examples of your ability to see others' resources/potentials and with this starting point create development for the individual.
• Have an engaged and proactive approach to tasks, changes and challenges - and here you can juggle multiple balls in the air at once.
• Have an overview and eye for the house's overall needs and priorities – both on the individual day and the near future
• Are physically and mentally robust and thrive in working independently within a community.
• Have flair for viewing health-related tasks with a basis in a social-work context.
• Have flair for using IT and consider documentation an important tool in everyday life.
• Can participate in a responsible, flexible and dynamic work community
• Have a driving license.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the bargaining-empowered organization.

Prior to final employment there must be a criminal record check and references obtained.

The position is desired to be filled as soon as possible. Start by agreement.
